Which is better?

I think there may be a topic already about this.

And, I'm not quite sure since I've only started posting here recently, but I think you have to watch your spelling and grammar in this guild. Sorry.

Actually Kanji, Katakana and Hiragana are a must know. You will usually always use all three to write something in Nihongo.

Sure, from a learner's perspective, kana is better, but kanji is necessary for meaning. It's kind of like in English how you have individual letters that, when combined, make a word and, given the context, determines the meaning. the same is true for Japanese.

ok, i HATE reading and writing kanji, but kanji are much more useful if you know them. because when reading kana things can have more readings, even though kanji are a pain to learn and write, they only have a few meanings. i have no problem with kanji as long as there are furigana (that doesn't mean i can always UNDERSTAND them, but it's good taht i can read them atleast). it's good to have both

How can one be better than the other? Kanji is faster at times when your writing and the kana are also useful. So neither is better than the other.
