Mistyk actully didn't know what to do for the few moments that drifted by after her question. But then it struck him like a freight train that had derailed from it's tracks not moments eailer. "How bout I get you those minions you wanted?" A slight wag in his buttox began to form. "I know a great place with minions already; actully it belonged to my father...but you know if you want we can lead that pack..."

Smooth one Mistyk the promise of minions without even a scratch of proof to bring it up. He didn't even know if his father was still alive or if the pack even remained. Heck he didn't even know what kind of wolves remained in the pack- if they were phycotic or just a bunch of wanders that had strung together for protection. But he really wasn't thinking with his head. He hadn't even thought threw how he would take over the pack if his father still ruled it. But as he thought more about it rage seamed to build. If he abandoned me like mother- then he's a coward too...and I can easily distroy cowards...

It was as if he was settling some long overdue score in his own mind by desiding to go back and challenge his father; then then another thing hit him...who was his father? If he didn't know what he even looked like how did he know that the leader of Xiero's pack wasn't his true father? He shook his head this was all to confusing- but then again the fact that Xieros was in a pack could come to his aid. What if the alpha knew his father? Then he could start his plan into motion and he could have his minions for Xieros.

"I have a favor to ask..." His jaw tightening more seriously. "Do you think I could talk to your alpha?" He full well knew the dangers of entering anothers territory- but by no means was he going to go to challenge the other. Frankly he would probally be the most submissive he had ever acted in his life.

If she said no it would be a long hunt for him; and with that he'd loose that time trying to apeal to Xieros's...she might even choose another mate. He didn't want that because again there was something about her that he really did like.

"So what do you say? Can I come back with you?" He smile was more relaxed and not as overdone as before. Frankly it was quite plesent and rather 'friendly' instead of the overly phycotic draw he had before.

Oh no.

The panic that Xieros had faught so hard to supress suddenly surged as the forest wolf continued to speak. The loop-hole that she'd discovered had been sewn shut in a moments instant - her ability to never mention minions again was suddenly forced AGAIN upon her!

Xieros wasn't sure how much she liked this Mistyk wolf. This friend was making her very nervous and the puppy wasn't at all comfortable. But she couldn't run - he'd be sure to follow! And fear from being eaten kept her from baring her fangs and telling him off.

What a mistake it had been from wandering so far away!

This demand for minions, the suggestion of finding a pack fo 'them' - no no, it was all wrong! Xieros didn't want this, she didn't want Mistyk, and she as sure as heck didn't want minions!

Deep down all the black furred female wanted was to be left alone. She wanted him to go away, to let her on her way; she wanted to taste the cool water of the stream close to her temporary new den; she wanted to see Thayne and Lindir and even the brute, Toby! Oh, how it would do well to be with them again - for even if Thayne broke his promise and let her down, it couldn't be as worse as the sickening anxiety that twisted her stomach.

She was hopeless - there was no getting out of this.

How had this even began. . .?

Ears drawing back against her head, the female dropped her tail and glared at her toes.

When had her life gone from 'me' to 'we'?

"You can't talk to the alpha," she heard herself whisper. Raising her head, though her ears were still glued to her head in fear, "I don't even know who he is."

Oh no. . . here it came.

The truth.

"I just - I just joined a little while ago. Thayne and Lindir and Toby the Brute found me. I . . . I don't think you should come."

And that, was that.

Unless . . . the cogs of her mind started working. Xieros hardly knew which way it was back to her packlands, and something about Mistyk's attitude forced her to be cautious. Some of his expressions (though she didn't understand exactly what they meant) intimidated her. Some of his words, and his actions. . .

They made her leery.

"But - but I could always c-call them and maybe they'll come."

Sure, she'd probably be skinned alive upon discovery. They'd eat her and Thayne might even kick her out! She'd be doomed - DOOMED! But it wasn't as if she actually planned on staying, her thoughts reminded her. It wasn't as if them turning her out would be a real surprise.

"Really?" Mistyk's brow began to scrunch in a confused sort of matter. "I figured that they knew you pretty well with the way you seamed to talk about them." He drifted off in his own mind about his father and the lack of knolegde he had on him. He really wished he knew more- prehaps his mother had concealed thier birth from him and he was frantically searching for them, or maybe he just didn't care. He just didn't want to be so lonely- so confused. If he at least got the chance to know his father...prehaps things in his own life would mend. Although thinking about it, that might end quite aqwardly...

Hey dad haven't seen you ever- So I'll be taking over your pack today to impress this girl I like.

Oh that would end quite plesently he rather laughed inwardly to himself. Not that he probally wouldn't make a better 'self-proclaimed alpha'. Anyone who loses track of thier own mates and there own litters probally weren't the swiftest upstairs, or so he though. And he was most likely right if it was Diego he was talking about. That wolf didn't have all the lightbulbs screwed in to tightly.

"No you don't need to call your pack..." He figured only the alpha would know being his father was probally old now and the pack fell apart before most of the new memebers had been born. Or at least thats what he gathered from his mother. It might have just been a set up to have him killed off by his own dad later in life; he didn't trust the wench one bit.

Frankly another few things danced in his mind if memebers of her pack did show up. Most likely they would take Xieros away without any chance of him following because she was part of 'their' pack. She probally wouldn't even hesitate about returning as well because, even Mistyk had to admit...he was a bit over bearing.

" I do need to find him..." He wispered out regauding his father, and as if something meak washed over him almost in a beg asked her to help him.

Xieros kept her pale eyes up on the teal and brown wolf. Uh-oh, she thought, the cogs of her mind working over time. He was on to her! He knew that most of what she preached was a lie - she'd only just met Thayne and Lindir a few days previous! Trying to ignore her dry throat and twisting stomach, the black and white puppy shook out her baby-fur and licked a nose.

Xieros said nothing as Mistyk cotninued his prattle. Without her calling Thayne, that meant she was left alone with the male. But, then again, it did give her a perfectly fine excuse to get away. She couldn't be that far from wolf territory - all she had to do was turn around and go back the way she'd came!

Right?

Right.

The pup didn't bother coming up with a reason why she didn't know the Alpha. Part of Xieros figured she could lie and make up some name (how was Mistyk going to know the difference?) but it was too easy to discover the truth. And if caught in a lie . . . well, not only would that jeapordize her with the forest wolf (and her health) but it Thayne ever caught word of her snake-tongue. . . . The black pup supressed a shudder.

She had enough enemies to last her a lifetime - having an entire pack AND Mistyk after her would be a nightmare.

Finally, a silence fell. Xieros had heard the forest wolfs plea - something about his father? Dropping her gaze, she stared at the ground and shrugged her thin shoulders. "Well . . . . All you can do is keep looking, I guess. If you ever wanted to meet my pack," oh, how Xieros did NOT want to invite him, but she didn't know what else to do! "You could always howl and ask to meet the alpha yourself."

Her mind swirled, and she added as an afterthought, "It's a big pack. But if you stay on the border and call, I'm sure someone may answer."

That was all Xieros felt she could do - suggest he go over her and Thaynes heads and dig up the unsuspecting alpha himself. Rising, the little one decided now was as good a time to make an escape.

"But speaking of finding, I . . I think I should probably get back to my den. They don't like it when I'm away for long," she whispered, pale eyes all but pleading with Mistyk.

Xieros was still very intimidated by the stranger, no matter how bold and confident she tried to be. Tail dropped low, the black and white femme studied the forest wolf, desperate to be away. The security of her home - er, temporary sanctuary she reminded herself - then all would be well.

The black puppy was still very young and very naive - she didn't know how best one went about finding the lost and unknown.

The forest wolf nodded at Xieros understanding her need to go back. He also understood that if he followed her, he might just have the chance to speak to the alpha himself. Of course he hoped for his own sake he didn't offend the alpha for trying to steal one of his members. He liked his neck where it was and scrunched up his face thinking of the possible negative outcome this encounter might come to- but it might come to that anyway; just not threw Xieros's alpha. He still didn't know his dad and his pack be far more likely to eat him then the other. Probally more from the fact that he had a far more hostile additude about him towards his father then he ever would to any other wolf.

I mean how could you just loose your own son? He mused again in his head over again. He would be able to keep track of his own family no matter the size- so why couldn't his dad keep track of his one mate and their own sons. He shook his head with grief still going over it in his own head.

"But yea I'd definatly like to howl to your alpha...tell me though- from what you know. Is he of good temperment?" Again the thought of being the packs dinner didn't appeal to the forest wolf.

It never occured to the female to think that Mistyk would follow her. What wolf would do that? She'd be soon back on pack territory, and any whom crossed those borders without invitation could be considered intruders. Xieros didn't know how the pack kept up with border watches - but, then again, maybe there were more wolves in South Seaside then she imagined.

Turning her back, the black and white pup shook out her fur and licked her nose. Glancing over her shoulder, the little one glanced dubiously up at the forest wolf. "I - uh - I don't know a lot," she admitted meekly, not sure how he'd take this information. "My family's the beta family. We . . we only met once, briefly," she stressed, lying.

She was sure she'd have to meet the alpha male sometime soon. She wouldn't be allowed to stay if the Alpha in the pack didn't approve of her. . . right?

Things were still very confusing for the gray eyed pup.

"But if you'll - if you'll excuse me. I gotta go." And without a second though, the little one suddenly bolted.

Her little heart pounded in her chest, her stomach twisted in knots and she could only hope and pray that she wouldn't feel his fangs in her back. All he had to do was pounce and she was a dead one.

Oh Thayne, Toby, Lindir~! That was all she wanted right now, her little family.

Like a black and white dart, she zig-zagged through the underbrush, hoping upon hope she was going the right way and that Mistyk, her new . . .friend? would stay away.

((Sorry, but she's been looking for such an oppurtunity since she first ran in to your boy! ^^; ))

Mistyk didn't catch that she had bolted until it was nearly too late, but he was an experienced hunter and even though he didn't have her in view he still had her sent fresh in his nostrils and so very easily caught up with her from behind as if he wafted it like a bloodhound did.

"Hey wait up! I wanted to follow you to your packlands!" His footpads quickly speeding up under him he was not trotting next to Xieros. Blinking he smiled over to her. "You know your pretty fast for a pup...much faster then those ruddy foxes anyways. Almost like your trying to dit-" Then it hit him. He probally scared the life out of the puppy with his jitter and the way he moved. Stopped her just sat as he watched her dash off foward. He'd find her later when he was more mature and had a pack of his own like he promised.

He lifted up his nose once more to deeply embed her sent in his mind. I won't forget you, he said to himself in his mind then turned on his tail and went in the oppisite direction. "I will find you father...." He said low and direct to the point.

((We must continue this when she is older ^^))

((Haha - well, that sounds as good a place to wrap this as any. Xieros is bolting high for the hills! And yeah, they can definitly meet up again in another future RP. Maybe he won't be as terrifying to her. . . then again . . . . he might have to prove he's not as crazy to her to get her to like him and/or trust him a bit.

It'll be interesting, nonetheless. Thanks for the RP! Sorry Xieros wasn't more friendly. She's . . . stubborn. x3 ))
