Demani stepped in the jungle and was amazed of all the life there . The little lion turned left and turned right at every step because he was very curious . He smelled the beautiful plants infront him and looked at all the little bugs on the ground . He was very little and he didn't know much about the mysterious and sometimes dangerous jungle . He had to learn more about the life and the world .

Wow. There were a -lot- of trees here!
Chuju'kinyago had never been to a place that was so full of life, and so busy. Aside from his imaginary butterflies and crickets bouncing and flitting around him there were hundreds of other sights, smells and sounds. He was sure that Rahima would be displeased with him wandering off so far, but he knew his way back to her afterwards.
It was almost frightening how many things were going on around him, and how much his yellow coat stuck out in the dark cover of the trees. The only thing stopping him from turning around and running back to his foster mother was his unbridled curiousity.

Demani kept on walking till he found himself infront of a creature that wasn't much taller than himself . He rawred and raised his left paw ready to hit the creature that was infront of him when he suddenly felt afraid of what could happen and stopped . He stared at the unknown but so familiar figure . He had seen such a figure only in his reflections in the water . He wasn't dum and he realised that this creature might be his species .

Of course, Chuju only looked slightly taller than this other cub as he had leapt up on to a rock to see if he could see a clearer way out of the trees, and not having much luck. He knew his way, he had an excellent memory, sometimes it was just nice to be able to see. The golden yellow cub had been very small when he was born, and hadn't put on much mass at his very young age, having been left to fend and hunt for himself shortly after being weaned.
Luckily for him Rahima was taking care of him now, and he hadn't been hungry in what felt like ages and was probably no more than weeks. It was so nice to actually be cared for though.
"Hello." He ventured. He had no siblings, and wasn't quite sure how to interact with this other cub. It was rather odd for him.

"Hello!" said Demani . The little lion didn't have anyone to take care of him so he was a little bit hungry . He has learned how to eat some of the things that survived after the bigger lions ate a lot of them . As his stomche rumbled Demani said "I'm Demani . Nice to meet you ! Sorry for being impatient but ... do you know where can I find food ?" The expression on the cub's face changed from friendly to a little worried . " I haven't eaten for a while and I'm kinda hungry."

Clambering down off of his rock Chuju sighed, he wasn't used to talking to others very often, and all of a sudden there was a torrent of information thrown at him. Reclining to his haunches the youngling cocked his head at Demani, black tipped tail flicking and ears turning back against his scalp a little nervously.
"My name is Chuju'kinyago." He said slowly, making sure to annunciate his words. He was trying very hard to speak like a grown-up, he didn't like the way it sounded when he slurred his words together like a baby just learning to speak, even if he was only that. "You can call me Chuju though, if you'd like. It is shorter after all."
Food, food, food.... he thought. Chuju wasn't hungry, and he hadn't been watching for small prey beasts, or older kills. "No, sorry. I don't know where to find anything. Do you know how to catch stuff? Like rabbits and mice?"

"Well , I haven't cathed anything by myself yet ." answered the little cub . "But I've seen grown ups doing it , so why can't we ?!" Demani was full of joy . This was his first time meeting a lion at his age . "But I'm used to eating the relics of the food that adults eat ." continued the little lion "It's not very tasty but it's what keeps me alive . Without it I'll die ! Anyways do you want to hang out ?" the little lion wasn't hungry anymore . he wanted to know more about his new friend .

"Oh. 'Cause I taught myself to catch things smaller than me. That's how I stayed okay. Mostly." Chuju had never liked scavenging. It seemed wrong somehow to him, so he was hungry until he'd learned to hunt what smaller creatures he could. His bite wasn't strong enough to kill anything larger than a hare still, but he would grow, and he would learn, surely.
"Hang... out...?" The little yellow cub was confused, he hadn't ever heard that phrase before, and it didn't really mean anything to him. It didn't sound ...dangerous though, so he decided to play along until he figured out what Demani meant. "Uhmm. Okay?" He added, padding towards the dark coloured cub.

Demani looked at the yellow cub . He understood that Chuju was a little confused and explained "Ok...We'll go walking around the jungle , that's what hang out means ... At least I think so ." Demani has heard this phrase from the bigger lions but didn't know exactly what it meant . " Do you know a cool place to play ?" The little cub was excited about his first "hanging out" .

Well. Hanging out sounded something like playing, something that Chuju didn't do that often. He would play with Rahima, it was important for learning hunting, he understood that much, but he didn't really like to play with others his age. Not that he had met any. He just assumed that it wouldn't be as fun. But, he supposed that walking around wouldn't hurt any. Maybe exploring could be fun.
"I don't know any places in the jungle. I've never been here before. Do you know any?" He asked tilting his head and flicking his ears. "Aaand, if you don't, we could probably just explore and see if we can't find any."

"Uhm." Demani's smile kind of stepped out from his face "Look at me ?! I'm almost newborn and I don't know exactly what I am ! Do I know places in the jungle ?!!" But then he smiled again " But ... exploring sounds pretty fun ! I'd love to check new places ! Soo where should we go ?" he asked and looked at the sun .

"And I'm what? Like... old?" Chuju rolled his dark brown eyes a disgusted expression crossing his face a moment only. It seemed like this cub lived in the jungle, why wouldn't he know any places? When he'd been on his own in the plains he knew all the places that weren't too far from the den that were lots of fun to play at. And he wasn't that much older than the other cub, so his excuse just didn't fly.
By now the yellow cub was getting frustrated with all the talk and bounded past Demani, black tipped tail flicking. "I don't know where!" He called back behind him. "I guess you'll have to catch me to find out!" Chuju hollered, giggling and weaving between trees.

"Oh yeah ?" Demani smiled evlily "Well, you're on !!!" Demani started running after Chuju and he ran as fast as the wind . He felt the warm air caressing his face and he felt free and great ! He was very fast but not fast enough to catch his new yellow friend . He started running even faster and was almost nest to Chuju but couldn't catch him ! "The race is not over yet ! " Demani yawned making his way through the jungle .

Nearly tumbling over at a sudden thought Chuju stopped abruptly, plunking down on his haunches. A confused look crossed his face for a moment or two and then he called to Demani, "I have to go! I have to leave! Rahima'll worry about me!"
He was concerned that his guardian would worry over him, or worse, simply continue on her travels without him. She'd been good to take him in when he realized that his irresponsible mother was not coming back for him any time soon; that she was much more interested in following other males about and getting them to hunt for her than she was in taking care of her infant son. Making her worry wouldn't be fair, after she'd been so good to him.
Not waiting for a response he turned tail as abruptly as he had stopped, and raced off to the outskirts of the jungle once more, or at least where he thought the outskirts of the jungle were, calling for his foster mother as he ran, a sinking feeling in his gut when she did not respond.
Chuju felt terrible for leaving his new friend like that in the middle of a race, but also felt in his mind that they would perhaps meet again some time when they were older, and could finish their barely begun race, and maybe become even better friends. Only time would tell.
((Sorry I never replied, I'm just gonna cut this one off here, hopefully that's alright. x'D))
