The Night Itself

Rachgier had been doing his best to ease backwards throughout the woman's introduction. When Ennui had pointed her out as one of the twins, well...

Lets just say the fire of 1666 was not entirely his fault. Possibly not even remotely. He had been there though. And her brother...

"Iyemina." The white haired young man didn't smile. He all but shot a glare at the 'prophet' for singling him out. Long gone was the time where he wanted attention drawn to himself. It was the mention of azoth however that kept him from pinging the feathered idiot with his lantern. "Why come on, bird brain, why so reluctant?" His bag dropped back on the bench and he snorted, but clearly his half retreat was cut short. He'd dealt with women much worse than the one that stood before him. "I'll tell you what: tell me what you know of the both of them and I'll leave you to your..." tired gold eyes flicked to the church, then to the children, and he smiled the sly smile of a fox. "...well, to whatever it is you intend to do."

IndentIyemina crossed her arms, wondering whether or not to ask about someone. She tapped her foot for a second, then decided it might be best. After all, these two seemed to know more about herself and Tristan than she did....

IndentThere. She said his name finally. Even though it was only to herself, she had not said his name in centuries. When she gave up looking for him, it was only because she knew she may never find him. If she did, Mina knew that one of two things would happen. "You both seem to take a large interest in myself and my older brother. It is obvious that you know him, so I am guessing he has quite the reputation by now." She smiled slightly, for a brief moment. Then, turning to the bloodier sorrow, she noticed that he was not impressed, and looked bored, lost in thoughts.

Indent"You look like the type to start some trouble with Tristan. He always was going out, determined to find the answers. In that case, we are alike." The wind blew again, easily picking up her dark hair and making a 'smoky' affect. "You might be interested to know that Tristan and I are more different than alike."

Even if he couldn't see the other's retreat he could just as well tell by the atmopshere that the white haired Clockwork didn't want anything to do with this current situation if he could help it. Ennui allowed a chuckle to escape before smothering it with a cough. "Bird brain is it?" Why did all the cumbersome Clockworks with hot heads and self righteous attitudes always have some annoying nickname for him. Bird brain? Toothpick? What was next? Sighing he ignored the other turning his attention to Mina.

"Your brother is an idiot." He stated simply to the female Clockwork. "I haven't seen him recently if that is what you want to know. But he is close." He said picking up on the aura trails of her better half. He was near that was almost certain other than that he could give no information unless he managed a 'vision' which were few and far between.

"At any rate I really must be going... I'm sure the two of you can think of something to do to entertain yourself without my help." He snorted slightly slipping away from the small crowd as the tinkling of laughter from the children picked up in his ears. A smile was offered as the children acknowledged Ennui's attention. He stopped short speaking over his shoulder, "I must ask, do either of you need a place to bed down for the evening?" It was hospitality after all regardless of how he felt of the person; being hospitable came first.

"That's reassuring, to say the least." He mumbled to Iyemina. "Your brother and I..." He trailed off, then grinned viciously when Ennui finished the sentence. He had vague memories of Tristan. They mostly centered around a large fire and a great bit of yelling.

"I can find a place for myself." Rach snorted, nose crinkling at the thought of bedding down in the church for the night. On the other hand, it would annoy Ennui greatly if he were to stay. For a moment he wavered to his 'better' nature, but in the end ignored it. While it may bother Ennui, it'd likely bother him to be near the feathered twit just as much. "If you know anything, rest assured I'll get it out of you one way or another." The last part turned into a lazy sigh and he leaned heavily on the sturdy wooden bench. Gold eyes were sharp, though ringewd with dark circles, as he studied both the retreating Ennui and the very busty Iyemina.

"I don't like your brother." He let the words fall bluntly from his lips, attention back now on the woman in front of him. "The last I saw of him he was surrounded in a rather large and devastating fire. I'd have thought he was dead, but Birdbrain here-" He gestured at the disappearing figure of Ennui, "-seems to think otherwise."

IndentIyemina folded her arms, watching as Ennui walked away. Rach had been speaking to her of Tristan, but she was only half listening. "Quite frankly, I do not really care where he is anymore. It seems like everytime I get closer to him, the farther I would rather be." Iyemina turned to face Rach, her hair falling gracefully over her sholders. She had a blank, almost dreamy expression on her face. "He left me for a human. Not that humans really bother me; I am neutral towards them." Suddenly, Mina had a scowl look, certain bad memories flooding back to her. "However, I had to learn that for myself. The once close siblings were destroyed by our strength."

IndentMina began to notice an interest "vibe" coming from Rach as the words from her last sentence pour into his ears. She would no longer reveal anymore, as it might destroy herself. "So what fire are you talking about, and who's idea was it?"
