On Wikipedia it states that journalists often incorrectly write the band's name as 'H.I.M." rather than just 'HIM'. It is stated that they do this, to distance themselves from the name His Infernal Majesty, which is presumed by many to be satanic.
My question is this: If it's actually meant to be just 'HIM", then why is the name spelled 'H.I.M.' on multiple pages of their website? Also, on iTunes, HIM is called 'H.I.M. (His Infernal Majesty).' So tell me... which is the right one? Or are both okay to use?
Then again, maybe the real question should be if Wikipedia is credible. xD

in the US its supposed to be H.I.M. since HIM is already taken by some sucky country band. either way it doesnt matter.

Ryakuu xMalleusxHIMxMaleficarumx in the US its supposed to be H.I.M. since HIM is already taken by some sucky country band. either way it doesnt matter. probably, but some music sites like iTunes who have boths bands Him and HIM do that to avoid confusion. i don't see why, since barely anyone has ever heard of ther other Him. Which suck. For a while, HIM used to be HER because of that, but thats changed. when you usually say "HIM", most people know what you are talking about. that's probably also why HIM's official website name is heartagram.com instead of him.com. actually, i've never been to "him.com". someone should go for me, cause i'm lazy.

like old kings and queens reffered them self to that. absolute monarchs maybe it means they have divine rights and all the power lol.

xDit really dosnt matter which way it is..i use both it just depends on wherther in in hurry or not or bored and want to put the dots....people would know what you were talking about if you said " oh i listened ot my him cd on the way over here"...no many people know of the other him band.. i dont think their satanic either.. but just as the other user above me has said alot of christians do belive they are.. their lyrics that contradict god and everything they take it as and end of the world topic and say thay are satanic and worship satan. in certain songs they sing of devils and angles, and angles in places where devils reign and the religous leaders of communes go crazy over it..hell they even say happy potter is satanic because of the magic in it.. so yeah im not a religous perosn at all..i dont believe in such a thing..my honest opionion.. i have a few religous friends who adore HIM but their preist has told them the band is satanic, and not to listen to them their lyrics contradicting religous icons , and how they are dress are how the preists and such veiw them as satanic..just because they are different..

It was H.I.M. (His Infernal Majesty) but they bought the rights and officially changed it to HIM.

Whether it's HIM or H.I.M doesn't really matter (except that H.I.M is more annoying to type out) it still means the same thing.
the only problem i find with it is that down under no one knows who you're talking about when you say 'HIM' so you have to add on that it means 'His Infernal Majesty', which means they jump to satanic devil worshipers, or emo mad (damn my brother!)

HIm originally went by His infernal majesty because of their love for bands such as sabbath but some huge thing with black metal bands doing naughty not okay stuff over in europe caused them to trim it to just him dropping the His Infernal Majesty.
