The coffee shop had become one of his favorite places to stop in, he blamed the coffee it had to have something addictive in it he just knew it. Well that and some of the cookies they made, they weren't overly sweet just... good. Take them, dip them in the coffee and go. The atmosphere was a pleasent one as well. It always seemed that everyone here was readying or something, he'd thought to bring a book everytime he came just to fit in but... eh. He always seemed to forget.

He slipped into the shop the bell over the door giving a sound as he did so and he drifted over to the counter to order the usual, he got his coffee as half coffee and half milk, no sugar and then two of those cookies. He paid for his treat before turning to head for a table oblivious for the moment who was in the show with him only because he hadn't looked around. In fact he wasn't until he sat down that he noticed. He was taking a sip of his coffee and saw her reflection in the metallic napkin holder and... his heart sort of skipped a beat.

It had been a long time since he'd seen Aylana, had figured by now he would be... he wasn't sure what he thought he would be by now but not as suseptable maybe? That a glance at her would do that? He shook his head then thought on it a moment, he should say 'Hello' he knew that. He took a sip of his drink to steel his nerves before turning in his seat, "Long time no see." He said, almost sighing in relief as he got the words out.

Lucien lifted a hand to it then nodded, "Yeah, you wouldn't believe how much easier it is roll out of bed in the morning and its already ready." He said, then looked her over, "You've changed too." She looked a lot different then the last time he had seen her he thought to himself before giving a little smile. Well a lot of time had passed a few months in fact now that he had thought about it.

He looked back down at his drink for a moment, taking a sip from it before he got up to his feet and walked over to where she sat, "How have you been?" Wow was this polite coversation stuff seeming rather hard to do. He made no move to sit merely had wanted to be a little closer was all.

"I never thought so, I always thought you were the most beautiful woman I'd ever met." He said, sounding quite serious. She had grown, so she was that much farther ahead of him then? She had told him he was to young before so what did that make him now? He looked over at the seat that was at her table longingly before he shook his head, "I... can't." He murmured. He didn't want to get his hopes up about anything between them again, not now especially when he was seeing her again for the first time and felt a bit... laid bare and weak.

"I am ok standing, thank you though." He sipped his coffee if for nothing else but a distraction from what he'd said to her. To spout off something now so... romantic sound felt rather foolish if you asked him.

Lucien shook his head giving a bit of a sigh, "You never meant to hurt me several times but it always seems to happen. We just... weren't meant to be I suppose." He said shaking his head and did what he could not to crush the cup in his hands. He really didn't want to scald himself with the coffee. It would be none to pleasent.

He shifted on his feet, "I just wanted to say 'Hi' as it would seem a lot more civil then had I headed out the door the moment I saw you." That would have been rather childish as well and he wasn't a child anymore, he wanted to face things even those that hurt to face, even if they were a sore subject.

"I guess you did warn me didn't you? I was just to foolish to listen." He said, wishing that all that had happened, all the hurt between them could be erased but it couldn't. To young to believe her, thought he couldn't be hurt maybe? He lifted a hand up to run it through his hair pushing it back before letting it fall back into place, "I do too, I doubt I could so easily just erase such strong feelings." He just couldn't let them rule him anymore, he couldn't go back only forward.

Lucien drained his cup and crummpled it up in hand to a small ball of paper before he looked over at her, "I am sorry. I wish things could have gone otherwise."

Lucien looked down at the star necklace, he'd forgotten all about it, forgotten he'd given it to her his heart. He gave a nod as he closed his hand around it. He had no real desire at the moment to find someone else, to give the necklace away again. He instead stuffed it into his pocket, "I will miss you Aylana." He murmured, stepping forward to press a kiss to her forhead before he moved passed her, best to leave now before he did or said anything foolish. A clean break was best.

Lucien nearly ran, but contained himself until he reached the door to the shop, looking back over at her, "Goodbye." The word was so... it hurt to say because it felt so permenant before when they parted he always knew it wouldn't be long before they were together again, back in one anothers sight and arms. It wasn't going to like that this time was it? His hand tightened to the point his knuckles went white on the door knob before he turned it and pushed it open.

The bell above the door rang, sounding a lot louder in his ears then it should before he slipped out of the shop allowing it to close behind him.
