He was bleeding in several places and even had a thorn or two lodged in his skin, but they did it. They did it! Cam had certainly made a wise decision, choosing to follow Siri as his captain. His eyes lit up.
"Woohoo~ we did it! We did it! We killed all the nasty monsters and now the Pridelands are safe!"
Cam smiled broadly at Siri. "Good job! I..." his voice became a little shy, "...would've never been brave enough to do that if you weren't there with me."

"I know! I know!" She beamed at him, barely noticing the scratches that marred her sides. Siri tottered wearily up to Cam and began to pick the thorns out of his side. He was so brave! She would never --
-- her ears pricked up as he spoke the second time. "I could never do it without you, too! It's scary, defending the pridelands!" She giggled and nuzzled Cam. "But we did it! And we're safe now too!"
She glanced up at the sky and then back at Cam, her expression become apologetic. "I... I should go. My mama would want me home soon!" She turned to leave, then looked back with a grin. "But we should play together again sometime! We make a great monster-fighting team, hmm?"
