Chuckling softly, Shalafi glanced to Corvus, the sly look gone from his face as the 'angelic' image came back into play. "Noted," he said, nodding to the summoner. "I'm going to go think for a bit. Thank you for speaking with me." He madea polite bow towards the pair, then turned back towards the edge of the balcony, wings flaring a moment before he took off.

"Pleasure," said Corvus to Shalafi's retreating form, turning back to Yeande. "Shame all the young feien can't be like him. Or all the feien in general. We could really use more with brains on their shoulders." Implied was the idea that feien with brains on their shoulders would inherently listen to Corvus and agree with his point of view.

Smirking, Yeande just watched him. "Quite a few have brains on their shoulders... just not all share your views." Pushing off of the flowerpot then, she moved to land on the balcony floor. "Still... that's vastly outweighed by those who couldn't think their way out of a paper bag." Glancing to the doorway, she sighed as she saw Ankou, who had forgotten all about getting outside and was now prodding at a fly that looked as though it were on its last minutes of life. "Case in point."

"Case in point," agreed Corvus, sighing. He scratched at the golden markings on his arm and kept any possible angry retorts to himself. "Someday, it will be different, though. That much I can promise." But his eyes took on a particularly dark look and the reassurance was more worrisome than comforting.

Stepping towards the key, Yeande lifted it, then tu rned back to Corvus. "I'll let you know as soon as I speak to Aileron. For now, however, I have to go and make sure Ankou doesn't destroy the house. Take care of yourself, Corvus." She was troubled by his expression, but she'd already seen him riled up once today. A second time wasn't necessary.

"Good day," said Corvus, sounding a bit disappointed. "Thank you. I'll try to come up with a way to repay you for the service." He lifted from the balcony into the air.
