Mavis sniffed the ground curiously, wondering if there was anything edible below the surface. He pricked up his orange-tipped ears as he heard a snapping of a twig nearby. Not bothering to lift his head up, he pawed at the ground to see if there was anything there. After confirming that there was indeed nothing below the surface of the ground, he lifted his head up and scanned the area carefully. It had been a few days since he had departed from his brother. He had promised Beere-Augen that he would come back to him to find their mother, but he needed to do something first. Sighing, he thumped his tail against his hindquarters before starting to walk on.
It had been awhile since he had had time to think about his life and where he should be in it. He hadn't found a mate yet and he doubted he would ever find one. His darker half-his demon-prevented him from finding a mate in his father's alpha's packlands, though he hadn't really thought of finding a mate for himself. He had wandered around the lands, trying to find his mother to bring back to his father to make him happy again, but it looked like his father had found happiness in teaching a young male his age the ways of life. Mavis didn't want his father teaching him for fear of his inner demon attacking Flit.
Sighing loudly, he gazed around the area he was traveling through with sharp eyes. Despite his demon he had traveled through the lands without any fuss from Dämon. Even today the darker half was quiet. It seemed like Dämon knew something Mavis didn't know and that iritated Mavis greatly. Growling under his breath, he stopped in his tracks and began to dig a shallow hole. 'Are you trying to find a mate in that hole?' Dämon finally asked the young male. Mavis smirked widely. 'No, I was doing it to see if it got on your nerves. It looks like you are still alive, though just barely,' came a sharp reply from Mavis. The lighter half could feel his darker half shudder in disgust. 'Whatever. Just get on with finding a mate already. It is lonely having just you around.' Mavis narrowed his eyes. He hated how Dämon constantly reminded him to find himself a mate. "I will when I want to," he growled outloud, not even thinking twice to see if anyone was around to hear him. Sighing, he started to walk on again, this time quicker than before.

Ieshia loped along through the trees, her tail and head held high. But the air around her was comfortable, not intimidating. She was meerly a very confident female and that certainly hadn't changed in recent events. For she no longer had to live her wandering days alone-she had a pack. And without having to give up her freedom. It was the most wonderful feeling she had ever had, to tell the truth. The two most important things in her life put together. So it was no wonder she was in a good mood, not that she wasn't usually.
She paused when she caught a scent lingering in the air, rather fresh. But she was off again within moments and she didn't change her course. One of the reasons she enjoyed traveling so much was to meet others, after all! She moved along for a few minutes until she finally spotted an orange and blue form in the distance. She smiled, her ears pulling forward and trotted toward him with ease, "Hello there!"

'Someone approaches,' Dämon whispered in Mavis' ear, causing the young adult to swiftly turn around, spotting a lone red wolf trotting towards him. He flicked an orange-tipped ear again and he stopped in his tracks. 'What are you doing, fool? She could maim you!' Mavis smirked slightly. So the demon could tell which gender a wolf was now. That pleased the young male.
He turned his body slightly so that he was facing Ieshia and he bobbed his head slightly at her, respecting her authority. "Greetings. I didn't expect any other wolf to be traveling through this area." He flicked his tail slightly before tucking it down near his hindquarters. He didn't want the other wolf to feel like she was being threatened, yet at the same time he didn't want to grovel on the ground in her presence.

"Oh? Does that mean company is unwanted?" Ieshia questioned with raised brows. Her tone was light and half teasing. If he was serious she wouldn't trouble him, but she certainly wasn't one to push away a meeting if she could help it-they were some of the sweeter parts of life, after all. Her stance remained confident, but never overbearing or forceful. It was her simple high self-esteem and her comfort with her own individuality that kept her as such. It wasn't meant to be imposing or personal.

Mavis shook his head at the femme's question. He could hear his inner demon yelling at him, but he blocked Dämon out for the time being. He would have time later to bother with Dämon, but right now he was busy. "Not at all. I was just startled when I saw you. Usually I don't see many wolves greet me or come up to me. Then again I have been avoiding wolf contact for some time now. I guess it is best for me to try and meet new wolves." His voice was calm and relaxed, unlike his inner demon's. He blinked a few times as he slowly sat down on his haunches. "What brings you out this far anyways? I would have figured a pretty femme like yourself would be in a pack with a mate." he didn't mean to sound disrespectful to the femme, but he was a little worried about the femme being out alone.
