Well in regards to the Pill, I think if you have sex at ALL, it's a good thing. That and you did mention that your period has a habit of being late. At the very least, it would be a good way to regulate it and cut out that bit of worry. Really, if pregnancy would be that devestating, wouldn't you rather be safe than sorry?

I agree. Birth control in some form needs to be used every time, so I see no reason to define "often." If you're having sex, the pill or another form of birth control would be great in addition to the condoms.

Even if you're under 18, you can go to Planned Parenthood or another such clinic and get birth control pills. I suggest starting on one of the lower dosages instead, because it will mess with your cycle a lot less. Make sure to take them on time and a few hours before taking multi-vitamins! Also, make sure that you use extra protection, and the effectiveness goes down if you take antibiotics or medications.

I'll have to remember the effectiveness thing.
I should be going to a gynocologist soon, so hopefully I can get some pills then.

Friends keep telling me that bc is not free from planned parenthood places, they say it's like 65 dollars a month or something if you don't have medical coverage.
So which is it?

Planned Parenthood goes based on your monthly income. They decide a price they believe you will be able to pay.

Right. It's on a sliding scale. It's often free for students.
