Pisces and Their Health

Pisces, the Fishes, is the third sign of the Water triplicity and the twelfth sign of the tropical zodiac. This deeply sensitive and charming sign is ruled by Jupiter (expansion; fortune) and Neptune (delusion; deception; illumination). The key phrase for Pisces is "I believe".

Jupiter, considered the great benefic, is the traditional ruler of Aquarius. This is the sign of expanded emotions, sensitivity and natural dumb luck.

The new-age ruler of Pisces is Neptune, planet of the mysterious, illusory, spiritual and sensitive aspects in man. Piscean people are apt to be idealistic, sensitive and responsive to the thoughts and feelings of others. Their temperament varies from being strongly optimistic to acutely pessimistic. They are generally not ambitious for material gain, preferring human interactions. Their charm, humour and sympathy is what opens the gates of opportunities. Their dramatic abilities lead them to develop art, music or poetry.

Shy Pisceans would much rather impersonate someone else than be themselves. No wonder so many of them are actors, artists, writers, and dreamers. Elusive Neptune makes it hard to predict how they will develop. Some of them are neat and well organized, while others become slovenly and careless - largely a reflection of their emotional reactions to the environment. Their intense imagination can lead them to stretch the truth under many circumstances (the other side to their creative abilities), write fantastic novels, poetry and produce other artistic endeavours.

Confronting a sense of personal vulnerability, Pisces can be a daredevil and risk-taker. The thrills of car racing, piloting a plane, exploring the wilderness, or hunting game can be seductive. Pisces can be a compulsive eater. Sports and physical fitness routines are a good way to keep in shape and reduce emotional stress. Horseback riding, dancing, skating, swimming or sailing are favoured activities.

Pisces Rules the Feet
Each sign has internal, external and structural rulerships. Internally, Pisces rules the lymphatic system, synovial fluids and functions of the glands in general. Externally, it rules the feet and toes and structurally the bones of the feet.

Swelling, allergic reaction to drugs, injuries to the feet and related problems are common complaints, but the Piscean emotional nature can also make them vulnerable to psychosomatic illness. The susceptibility of the Piscean nature to drugs and alcohol as a way of dealing with the pressures of the world needs to be addressed in a sensitive and realistic way.

Shades of Pisces
Pisces rules the pale green, purple, rose and grey-blue. Pisces people also benefit through the intellectually stimulating ray of yellow.

Pisces Birthstone
The birthstone for Pisces is the aquamarine. Pisces also responds to the energies of chrysolite and moonstone. Remember only to wear these stones if you want to bring their influence into your life. More about Gemstones and Astrology.

Flowers and Herbs
gardenia, orchid, lilac, wisteria, water lily, poppy and pansy.

Bach Flower Essences
Hornbeam: Tiredness, weariness, mental and physical exhaustion.
Scleranthus: Changeable, indecisive, suffers from extreme moods and energy, does not seek advice of others or physicians.

Homoeopathic Remedy
Veratrum album: Used in the treatment of heat exhaustion, headache, nausea, cramps.

Metal: pewter; tin compounds

Cell Salt: ferr phos

Healing Musical Note: B

Healing Aromas
Apple, camphor, cardamom, gardenia, hyacinth, jasmine, lily, mugwort, myrrh, palmarosa, sandalwood, vanilla, ylang-ylang.

Photobiotics
Pisceans should avoid intoxicants, as this is one of the addictive signs.
Many foods do not agree with Pisces, especially milk and dairy products, leading to lymphatic stasis and phlegm.
Fish is their best source of protein.
Lemon and lime juices, cranberries and apple juice offset lymphatic stasis.
Best grains are brown rice, bulghur wheat and quinoa, all being a fine lime green color when viewed under a prism.
Cabbage, celery and green juices will keep their lymphatic system flowing, along with good breathing and exercise.
Tubers like potato and sweet potato are good starch foods. Eat fresh salads daily to keep the bowels in order.

Susceptible Areas: thighs, sex organs

Afflictions
~extravagance, indulgence and feasting leading to impure blood, intestinal putrefaction, obesity and cancer;
~fond of alcohol;
~oedema, lymphatic stasis, swollen ankles/feet, sores, ulcers;
~insomnia;
~tendency to catch pneumonia;

Very interesting and useful. I really need to stop abusing my feet by wearing bad shoes - it's giving my back a hard time. D:

I do have a question, though. Would my health issues be more influence with my moon? I'll have to check, but I heard that Gemini works with the lungs and can be prone to bronchial infections; I develop pneumonia pretty easy.

(P.S., I love those aromas, herbs, and foods..)

Pisces

Cell Salt
Pisces’s cell salt is ferrum phosphate, which is iron. Iron is needed for the manufacture of hemoglobin in the bloodstream. Hemoglobin is the essential element in the red blood cell and is responsible for the transport of oxygen from the lungs to other body cells. Lack of iron in the system leads to anemia, low blood pressure, inflammations, glandular problems and heart irregularities.

Foods rich in iron that Pisceans should include in their diet are liver, lean beef, lamb, egg yolks, oysters, kidneys, whole grain cereals, barley, dried beans, beet tops, spinach, onions, lettuce, raisins, dates, prunes, apricots, peaches, grapes, apples, lemons, and oranges.

Pisceans function best with a high-protein that is low in fat and sugar. Lean broiled meat, chicken and fish, natural cheeses yogurt, and nuts are excellent sources of protein. They should cut down on table salt, for this makes them bloat (something Pisceans are quite prone to). Coffee over stimulates Pisces and should be cut down to a bare minimum. Pisceans are particularly susceptible to the effects of alcohol, which will age a native of this sign quicker than one of any other in the zodiac.

Pisces people need lots of rest to keep up vitality, which tends to be low. Wonderful exercises are swimming and dancing; both will keep them fit and glowing. They should take extra care of their feet and wear comfortable, well fitting shoes. A warm footbath before going to bed will aid in relaxation and a good night’s sleep.

Pisces crave release from reality, karmic astrologers usually associate pisces with the final stage of existence.. if you look at it in a christian sense, the upward fish could mean a fish one on its way to hell.

every pisces I have met tend to be extremists.. (including myself)
i have a big problem with drugs alcohol and cigarettes..
although i've calmed down on the first two.

i've known two kinds of pisces:
they are either drug addicts or EXTREMELY religious people..
(me)-----------------^

Looking at the two rulers of the sign..
Jupiter is often related to Zeus, God of the Heavens
Neptune is related to Poseidon, an alcoholic perverted yet generous God of the Seas (brother of Zeus)
