Shia's letter to the Darnassus elders was somewhat ill recieved. He was summoned to explain his description of the corruption in the Emerald dream, and his reasons for returning from it, which he did. But when he announced that the coming conflict might be as catastrophic as the attack of the Burning Legion, he was shouted down. The elves had lost almost everything in the last great war, the possibility of being thrown into another one, and so soon, was one that they did not want to entertain. Shia was not concerned. He knew it wouldn't be the elders sitting in their ornate temples and common houses that would save Azeroth, it would be those who truely had as stake in the world.
It had been over five months since Shiawase had been to the Eastern Continent, and he decided he was due for another trip. He kept Whitemoon's pendant with a promise to return it later, said his goodbyes to Rimar and the group, visited Faldreas' grave, and then made the treck south, down the Stonetalon path, through the barrens, to Ratchet.
As he was racing through the barrens Shiawase ran accross two tauren kneeling in the grass before an indiscript mound with a row of twings in front of it , axes on the ground beside them, planting flowers. Shiawase stopped and approached them. When they noticed the night elf coming their way both tauren froze, but shia bowed deeply and produced from his bag a small package of dried fish. He stood in front of the grave, bowed, and placed the fish on the mound. The two tauren looked on warily.
"May your bones feed a newer, more beautiful generation," Shiawase said. And bowing one more time he returned on his way to ratchet.
Shiawase's return to Stormwind was met with the usual drinking and insult exchanging. The members of the Retribution did not ask Shia why he had been held back from his return for months, and he didn't offer an explination. It would mean nothing to warn his friends of the incoming danger. The best thing he could do was make every moment one to be cherished, and hope that when the nightmare came, that was enough to protect them.
