On the one hand, I will state that sexual exploration is normal, and if done as safely as possible, it isn't a bad thing.
But I don't understand why any Sixth Grader would want to have sex, let alone have sex at school.
I wonder if anyone has looked in to the home life of these kids? A highly increased sex drive at an early age is a large warning sign for sexual abuse.

Plus by the sounds of how comfortable they were doing it infront of a group of people, that sounds to me like they're used to that environment. These kids are socially retarded, but something made them that way, and by the sounds of it something has to be done really soon to prevent anything worse from coming of it.

Beware the Jabberwock Kind of what I was thinking. Plus by the sounds of how comfortable they were doing it infront of a group of people, that sounds to me like they're used to that environment. These kids are socially retarded, but something made them that way, and by the sounds of it something has to be done really soon to prevent anything worse from coming of it. I suppose it is theoretically possible that these are just very odd children. More likely, however is that this was some sort of cry for help. I really hope that these children get some sort of help. At the very least, they need therapy -- it's possible that their parents are just neglectful or not very attentive and the kid(s) saw some adult videos or something, I guess. More likely, at least one of them needs to be in a different home environment. I really wonder what would cause anyone to think that having sex in a class room while class is going on is a good idea. Let alone what would have caused such young children to think of such a thing...

Hm. I mean, okay... I messed around with other kids when I was a kid-- I'll admit that. But having sex in a -full- classroom? Sorry, I'll save the public charades for the porno stars.
Seriously, I was kind of surprised to hear about this. I mean, I'd like to think that this kind of thing doesn't go on, but I know it does. I just didn't know publicly. And kids make mistakes, but obviously there were other kids in on it, and it was kind of this weird group plot. I don't know if it was one of those "freak out the teacher" things, but it went a little too far, if that was it.
No, I think these kids have become confused about normal sexual behaviour, and that's pretty evident in how they see sex in grade six.
I hope they wore a friggin' condom, at the VERY least.

Possibly an, "I dare you to," or, "I bet you can't do that!" ?

A highly increased sex drive at an early age is a large warning sign for sexual abuse. Thats what I was thinking too. If they were any younger I would really be concerned that this stemmed from sexual abuse by adults in their lives. Six grade is kind of the cut-off point where I am more inclined to assume that it is because of media influence and exploration. If it's really young kids then it's very very likely because they are repeating abuse that has been done to them.
