Kaho couldn't take this. More importantly, he didn't have to anymore. It wasn't that he lacked all loyalty. Anyone who said so clearly hadn't been present through the entire Phantom ordeal. No matter what his puppyhood friend had done (and terrible things he did), Kaho stood by him until the very end when he'd flung himself over that cliff. And upon discovery Tekka, he'd kept quiet about her exsistance, trying desperately to save her from the fate her father had suffered.

He had come to the conclusion, after a while, it was a loss cause. Phantom had broken her to the point there was just nothing to fix. Her mind was a mess, and Kaho was not a talented enough seer to pry into it and rearrange things. Unfortunately, simple convincing didn't work either.

Tekka was not the only thing he had given up on. This...parenting thing. He couldn't do it anymore. Farfalla being taken had just been too much. He'd decided as soon as he got her back, he was gone. Raja was far too busy with her own affairs to hunt him down as promised if he abandoned her sister, a threat she no doubt would have carried out had those triplets not arrived to keep her occupied.

Reaching the poor excuse for a stream, he lowered his entire body and lapped up a few, desperate gulps. All this walking was really hard for a 'three-legger', as Audi had always so delicately put it.
