Entering a contest on DevArt, need help making this sketch not so crappy before I even attempt to colour it. xD The prize is like, the last copy of Luciole's art book. <3 Go check it out if you want. Here
Anyways, here it is. Sorry for the faint lines, I left the sketch light so I could change things. 3nodding
Also, I have no idea what that blotch is above the butterfly, must be some gunk on my scanner. D: I changed her position a bit, does she look more elegant now? o: It's not just you, there's no hand there. ):

Oh no, that's a competition I'm entering too. *stares at own entry in progress* Dangnabbit!
Anyhow. Improvements? The only improvements I can notice on the sketch are: The mouth looks a taddish odd. The top lip mostly, how it dips down at the right side a bit far. Just doesn't seem to match up or something.
I think it might be the image tilting a little bit, but the right fabric fall hanging from the top pillar; it seems to be falling a little left of perpendicular. It's defying gravity and bending to the left instead of falling straight down.
Damn gorgeous though

The upper arm nearest the viewer is pretty long in comparison to the other arm. I think everything else notable has been mentioned. Could you provide a link to this contest?

T a k a s e: What looks weird about it? The fingers? angle? thumb? I sort of thought the thumb was looking a bit odd myself...
Flimsy: Oh my, really? Good luck! biggrin The mouth, I can fix that. The image is a bit skewed to one side, so it's not just you, and yeah, I actually don't like the drap-y fabric at all, any suggestions to make it look more natural would be much appriciated. 3nodding
The Iconoclast: The arm with the butterfly? Hmm.. Yeah, I see what you mean, that's something that can be fixed when colouring, me thinks'. :3 There's a link in the first post.

I'd second the mouth, in fact I think the face is the weakest point of this- the background looks lovely so far. I'd like to see a slightly longer nose and lower ear to match, and something about the pose just doesn't look very elegant... not sure but I think it might be how far forward her neck is, it needs a little tilt in the head or something to bring back the poise.

Fixed stuff. Also, anybody have any ideas on colouring this? I was going to try watercolours well, because it's Luciole and I thought it'd make sense-- But then I realized I'm terrible at watercolour. :/
