ATTENTION: THERE ARE SPOILERS! IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO HAVE THE STORY SPOILED, DO NOT READ!
Anyway Gaara is Kazekage (woohoo).
Two Akatsuki (Deidara&Sasori) members come to kidnap Gaara for his racoon demon (Shukaku).
They suceed in kidnapping him after a good fight.
Then they succeed in extracting Shukaku (oh no) killing Gaara (nooooooo).
But thankfully Chiyo is able to 'resurrect' him by using the method Tsunade uses in the fight with Orochimaru and Kabuto vs her, Jiraiya, Naruto and her assistant. But Chiyo dies doing so.
Gaara can still use sand, but unknown how much.

I read that he had died, but I hadn't heard that Chiyo resurected him, and I started freaking out! I was almost hyperventilating! Then I found out he was ok, and I was like, "Oh, thank God. If Kishimoto-sensei had killed Gaara-kun, I would have had to beat him up!" Lol. I get so obsessed over Gaara.

Ja, that does happen...BUT MORE SPOILERS!!!!!!!!! [highlight to read] SAS-UKE (kinda) KILLS OROCHIMARU!!!!!!!! And if ya'll are wonderin what I mean by 'kinda', the rest of Orochimaru gets absorbed by Kabuto and now they're some sort of hybrid!!! And Deidei and Tobi go up against Sas-uke...Hope they don't die...
