Did they not get what the signature was really trying to say? Come on, surely they've heard of back-alley abortions, they can't be that ignorant . . . can they? Anyway, doesn't occur to them that if they get their way and abortion is outlawed, women will simpy resort to those kind of abortions? Just because abortion wouldn't be legal doesn't mean it won't exist.
It would be like if we outlawed premarital sex, and therefore restricted all forms of birth control, including condoms, to married couples only - and then started telling people who get pregnant or contract STDs - especially if they end up with high risk pregnancies, cancer caused by genital warts, or even HIV - that they deserve it because they had sex illegally.
Not that people don't already have that attitude rolleyes

After I bitched for a while the attitude become "nuh uh ur stoopid choicers"

That makes me sick. They act as if fetal life is more important than the life of a living, breathing teenager with hopes and dreams, who lost their life because the option of safe, legal abortion was not there. That's... ugh.

I got through about half the first post, felt ill, and stopped.
In my experience, pro-lifers only care until said life is actually pushed out from between some woman's legs into the world. Then, ah, screw it. Let it bounce around foster homes or possibly become a victim of child abuse or infanticide (when it can, y'know ACTUALLY feel pain).
My mother works in juvenile law, and a little girl who lived in a group home told her she'd rather live with her abusive, drug addicted mother than be in a group home where many unwanted children go.
Says something, eh?

But child abuse is a myth. rolleyes I've actually had lifers try and tell me that all people become good and loving parents as soon as the fetus implants, despite the overwhelming statistics that state otherwise. Seriously, this tripe makes me puke. They say that someone who dies from a back-alley abortion is an idiot because she didn't go and get one legally. Yet they support making the procedure illegal, which would naturally lead to deaths like the one described in the sig skyrocket. Not to mention the states that have parental consent laws and other such roadblocks on the books to encourage such a decision.

Because being forced to carry something that you despise to term totally makes you fall in love with it. -eyeroll-
I wholly agree with you. I fear when I'm older (still a virgin, heh), that I'll require an abortion, which brings out great fear in me...not for the baby or the possible issues, or even my fear of needles, but all the pictures I've seen of pro-life extremist bombing clinics.
Which, by the way, is the greatest thought process ever.
"Gasp! These fetuses babiez will be destroyed! We must save them! Let's obliterate the women offering them shelter!"
