Hey im new to Gaia altogether, and i must say im a little discouraged crying to see many of you in these awesome costumes and some of u actually have two avatars at once. does it take a good while to baisically get to where you guys are? if theres anyway you can help your grattitude will e greatly appreciated. biggrin

yea, ive been here for almost 3 years. I just never really worried about getting items for my avatar, came here more for the forums and to talk with friends i had.
Dont expect much help with quests. You usually have to be giving out something like a contest to get any help. Dont obsess about getting items!

Yes, it takes you a while to get enough gold to get cool stuff, so just be patient, you'll get there.
And the whole two avitar thing, those are monthly collectable items, not another avitar.
You can earn more gold by playing games or posting in the forums.

Donating to Gaia will give you a sealed envelope for every 2.50 USD. After the middle of each month, you will be able to open the letters and choose between one of two items.
Also, you can sell the letters in the marketplace or exchange forum for a good amount of gold.

Besides that, you have to work hard for gold. Post, vote in polls, play games, participate in contest, hold contest, etc. If you have enough talent, you can also make avatar art for people.
