Aushi's orange eyes flickered over the shadows of the swamp, paws carefully manuvering through the soft grounds. She was feeling a bit skittish, she could tell that she was near the boarders. She should head back toward the middle of the pride lands... where it was safer.

Her heart was racing, though she was easily excitable and spooked. Her ears perked slightly and she slowed her walk, eyes moving over some of the swampy water. She watched herself for a long moment.

Padding gently along the edges of the land, Zimwi eyed the trees. He was still wary, it was a natural reaction to new places. But somehow, it felt right to be here. Staying at the bare borders with Safura, he'd actually filled out since he'd left the Umande'mfuni lands. No longer were his ribbs prominent, no longer did he pass for a cheetah. Now... He almost looked propper for an adult male lion. But his small stature was all that seemed off now. In fact, he was only as big as the average adolescent, but he didn't mind. Orange eyes danced a bit before he sat, letting out a slight yawn. He was tired, and wanted rest. He laid down, ready for a bit of a nap.

She was about to turn and go when something caught her nose. A scent... though one she was not very famaliar with. And while she often was not seen through the pridelands she was around, and knew most of the members' scents.

Her fur began to prickle and she began to slink through the shadows. An expert at hiding and that was about all. And while she'd rather turn tail and flee.. something like fierce pride and love for her homeland made her investigate.

She froze when she spotted the pale male up ahead of her, not really sure what to do now. She crouched down farther into the much and mush that acted as ground in these lands, trying not to whine or make a sudden movement that would call attention to her pressence.

Should she get someone? Why was he trying to sleep in these lands... "Where are you from?" She tried to stay hidden but she still called out, her voice soft and slightly edgy. It was like it was the most normal thing in the world to do, though she never thought very much. Or perhaps she thought too much?

Jumping in fright, Zimwi looked around. Orange eyes larger than his nose, he swallowed. "I-I-I'm f-from the d-d-d-dying jungle to the north west!" Trembling, the diminutive white lion wondered where the voice had come from. Curling up and spinning around slightly, Zimwi's ears vanished into his stoney mane. "Please don't eat me!" Memories of lions attacking out of the darkness filled his mind, leaping out, tearing his family apart. It truly terified him.

Her eyes widened and she realized she was terrifying the ghost of a lion so she stood, slowly and carefully. "I... I won't eat you!" She sounded very replulsed by the thought, she couldn't imaging any lion who would eat another.

So there was a jungle to the west... a jungle in low spirits it seemed. She did not know much of the world ouside the swamps. Admittedly she knew nothing, really.

Swallowing hard, Zimwi looked for the source of the voice. "Y-you're not...?" Blinking his orange eyes, he tried to calm his rappid breathing. Ears flicking, he soon isolated at least the direction. "C-can you step into the light...? I can't see in the dark too well.."

Step into the light... was she some sort of odd freak show? Actually she should not think that way, after all she was the one watching him. She moved slowly away from the shadows, now easily in his view. "No... that would be disgusting." She said slowly, picking her words carefully. She was not used to strangers.

Letting out a sound of utmost terror, Zimwi shrank further and scurried back. Brown... A brown lion...! Eyes wide with fear, he began to absolutely quake. His fears were still present, very much present. But a tiny voice told him that the lioness wouldn't eat him. She was safe. She was younger than Safura, after all. But then, Zimwi was smaller, so there was no argument there. Swallowing hard, he inched just a bit closer, though it felt a mile. He tried not to be afraid, but it was hard to do.
