This is depressing. From the NC Mall:
NOTE: Your Neopet is using old-style artwork and cannot wear items.
Not that I was really sure whether or not I wanted to spend money on temporary items, but I certainly don't plan to change any of my 4 main pets to their new version!

I agree fawN--the new Peophin looks TERRIBLE, even if I wanted to use the NeoMall. I know that maybe I'm being hypocritical since I am now spending about $15 a month on the avatar sites, but I'm also paying for Premium on Neo. But, I GET something out of all these things--my DI's here, on Mene and on Zan don't ever go away; I feel some sense of pride at being able to show them off anytime I want.
Neo has sold out, IMNSHO. It's just not as much fun as it used to be now that they are all corporate.

I totally agree. I'm not changing my plushie zafara to the new version. It looks terrible. I was quite upset that my island chombie changed without me authorizing it but at least my zaffie and my grey chombie stayed intact.
I also will not pay for disappearing items. Yes, I buy pixels here and mene and occasionally zani but at least I have the option of showing them off, saving them forever, or selling them at some point.
On neo I restock every once in a while, do my dailies and check in on the juniors when I'm supposed to. Other than that, I almost never log in anymore.

Lately Neo is a last resort for when all my other time wasters are slow or boring me.
That and PS - the only reason i am probably still active with neo is because of PS - and I am so glad I'm doing that- but I have no idea how much longer I will be able to. I'm almost done school and looking for a new job - and I'm pretty sure I will not be just sitting on a computer all day soon - no idea if I will be willing to dedicate my nights to the computer - but maybe when I don't ahve classes I'll be more willing. . .

I've been really into neopets and here lately, even though I don't know what to spend gold on here. I've been selling inks like crazy and sending things around to various accounts to organize them.
My interest in either comes and goes. I haven't been into Menewsha lately as I notice when I remember to check in, I'm so far behind on posts I don't feel like catching up!

Did you all read the comic for the new Defenders of Neopia part 2 villain? I found it really funny!!! For those who have completed the others: http://www.neopets.com/games/don2.phtml I haven't seen yet how to get her as a challenger, although a stalked the boards for a while. There was someone who had already beaten her the day she came out, but wasn't responding to everyone's neomails (probably for good reason.) And I've started getting back into NQII on Evil difficulty, although it's frustrating to wait for the pages to load because our cable isn't its best since they put in a temporary line a few weeks ago (and I hope they're not going to leave it like that!!) Plus, sometimes it just sits there waiting and waiting and I have to click again to get it to go through. Plus, thanks to a new member on the trading card boards, I've gone through my lists and have some cards ready to send people! (Bipper? Sunny? Check your emails! Actually, you'll probably check there before here anyway!!)

How are we all doing on the Sloth plot? Have some people given up? I know the decoding the messages was the hardest most eye-straining tedious plot thing we've had to do, and I seriously contemplated just not finishing it, but I finally set my mind to it.
I'm glad this plot I was able to battle because in the last one I missed all the battling due to being in the hospital for dehydration during pregnancy.

Gah, I haven't even logged into Neo in weeks. I really wanted to do the plot too, but I'm afraid I'm so far behind that I'll never catch up (still not done with those stupid messages!). Maybe I'll give it another go tonight when I get home.

Hmmm, now I'm a wee bit ticked. I checked jelly neo's slot plot guide linked from the front page just yesterday as I had been doing to make sure there were no more new plot steps, and I check today and there was a new step as of March 5th, but by today that part's no longer available. Yesterday none of the new news since Feb 29th was there. I don't think any of march's was showing up until today's. I don't think I'll be relying on that guide anymore, but I don't know where else to check. stare

I think the plot is done...maybe. This plot has been weird. It seemed like they kept it quiet for some reason. I don't think they should have overlapped it with the Daily Dare at all.

Is it? For a while I wasn't reading the comics because I was still stuck on the codes and I didn't want to get ahead of myself, but then I forgot where I'd left off, plus sometimes just reading the comic doesn't let me know if there's a new plot step or where to go if there is. Does anyone know of an up-to-date guide? If I did miss out on this step and/or the rest of the plot, that's ok. I did get some points, and more than I expected I would, plus from the looks of the step I missed, it seems like it was too big a headache for me anyway!
