I've seen some pretty rude critiques before, so I wanted to post a few guidelines for members to keep in mind when critiquing photos and artwork.

Remember, on the internet, nobody can tell what your facial expressions are (except for emotes) or your tone of voice. Very often, critiques come off as harsh and rude. Here are some tips to keep everybody happy.

-Always try to start with something good and positive. It can be as simple as 'nice colors' or 'beautiful horse!'.

-Keep advice gentle, and try not to use strong words like "wrong", or "bad".

-It is often helpful to say why a rider should be doing something: "It would be a wise idea to sink more weight into your heels to have a better and more secure seat to give clearer aids and stay in the saddle incase Rex might want to pop a buck!"

-"Laundry Lists" oftentimes come out sounding rude and unfeeling. Please try to refrain from making. A Laundry List is considered to be a list of just things that are "incorrect", with no helpful tips.
