Here's the story, I'm pretty sure that I am right about the spirit and why its following her around, but I'd like some other opinions as well.
SO here's the story:
My friend lives in the dorm of a local Catholic University, it is a very odl building with a hospital on the campus as well.
There are graveyards around and other things such as that that are very common with very old buildings and grounds.
So, there is apparently a haunted hallway in the dorm building, and the room where my friend used to sleep was very active, from what I hear.
Now, she told me all this a few weekends ago and I managed to use logic to debunk A LOT of what she was experiancing, beause as we all know, a lot of so-called paranormal activity IS just your mind.
Like her seeing a face in the grain of the door. Which can be logically explained by the fact that the human brain looks for familiar patterns in such things as that.
I myself walked past the door when I visited her dorm, and the face turned out to be two knots in the wood of the door and a swirly pattern that looked somewhat like a mouth.
Yeah. . .so that was debunked right away.
The scratch marks on her body were debunked by me as well, as her nails fit in the makrs on her arms and legs. So I surmised that she was doing it in her sleep.
The only mark I could not explain was the bite mark on her back, which I did not see, so I don't even know if it was actually there or if she just got pissed that I was proving false most of her story with basic logic.
Well, just last night, my other friend picked up the girl with the ghost stories to come to my house.
when they get here, they both burst through door in a complete and total panic, shacking and screaming.
Being one to always keep my head in situations, I calm them down and ask them what the matter is.
Apparently they were sitting in my driveway for a few minutes finishing a brief conversation when the girl who picked up the ghost chick (who was just as logical and skeptical about the situation as I was) felt something put it's hands around her neck and HISS in her ear.
Before that the ghost chick had turned around and yelled at the thing "What are you doing back there?!" Before the hands were felt and the lights went out in the car.
Now, I know from what you are reading you all think that I am probably a skeptic, but I am not.
I do believe in the paranormal and paranormal occurences, but I also belive that the human psychee is responsible for a lot things people see, like faces in doors and such since it really IS in human nature to pick out familiar patterns.
But as the other firl who felt and heard it is just the same as I am and even more skeptical, I felt that situation called for my belief and analysis using the knowledge that I have collected through the years of my own private study on the paranormal.
Since I do not believe that spirits can harm you unless you LET them, and since she said that this entity follows her around, in my opinon, which I know is not a professional opinion, I believe that the entity is a spirit leech of sorts.
she tends to be a negative person, not to mention she plays with Wicca and tarot cards and such without having much experiance in the field, which will really just open up doors to things that are less than good.
But honestly, I believe that her negative aura is feeding this entity and making it more malicious.
she is high energy and very rarely happy, and she loeaves herself very open to spiritual attack with her emotions and the way she dabbles in Wiccan arts. (she had some of her friends have tried to summon spirits before)
This is not the first story she ha told me about her paranormal experiances, but it is the first that has concerned me.
Honestly, I do not want her in my home with this entity follwoing her around. I'm really just too lazy to want to deal with a haunting, not to mention I'd just rahter spare myself from that sort of activity, because even though I am calm and rational, the paranormal does scare me simply because it is the unknown.
Now, nothing happened in my home or has happened while she was here and after she left.
I am a very spiritual person and put a lot of faith in God (please refrain from making comments on my choice of religion. I respect you, you respect me) and I store a lot of faith in the power in the power of prayer, and so far, I do believe that is why the entitiy did not follow her into my home, since I have made it a point to tell God in my prayers that I do not want to experiance anything paranormal.
(Strange paranormal things have happened to many people in my family, and to me when I was younger, and I decided that I just did not want to dela with it, so I asked God to "turn off" whatever made it possible for these thigns to happen to me, and I blocked my mind from it all, and it worked.)
But this does not mean that me, a girl of 19, have a strong enough will to keep if out every single time she comes over.
Now, my question is, am I right to surmise that this entity that has attached itself to her is indeed a spiritual leech. or could it be something else?
And, does anyone have any advice on what she should do?
