Sketched and inked this in boring ol' art class.

I might give a shot at colouring it. :s

It's well done but sort of unremarkable. I think that it could be awesome if you put some effort into coloring it though.

Yeah, it does look very unfinished and simple to me as well. XD

When I have some spare time I'll put some more detail in and colour it.

I could just imaging some sort of transparency with the wings... have you given any thought of what medium you'll use to color? For some reason CG pops to mind.

Yeah, I do usually work with CG. A transparency for the wings would be quite nice.

I think it'd be nice with watercolours, so if I have the motivation I might re-draw it and paint it. But knowing me, I'll be too lazy. D:

i think when doing that sort of inking, with the dimplied counters... they should correspond more with a light source or value. That is, they should be thicker in darker area's and fade/disappear where the strongest highlights would be..that way helps communicate the form better even in the absence of an outline.
