Society! People have been dropping off their dogs in my aunt's neighborhood and just leave. At least take them to a shelter people! Some of them are making packs and starting to get sort of dangerous, but animal patrol won't do anything, even though I don't want them to go to the pound. It's terrible! The poor doggies have no where to go and I'd take some in, but our dog doesn't like to share us. I found that out the hard way.

Why people do this.
What should people do in this situation. (The neighborhood people.) People do this because they think that the animals will do just fine if they live on the street. The truth is, they wont. If the animals were born and raised in captivity then they have no natural instinct left. Yes there are a few cases where this isnt true but a majority of the time it isnt true. We have all seen cases on TV and other places where animals just cant make it in the "natural" world, and so they end up dieing of starvation, being run over, or worse. cry cry
If I were the neighbors in this situation, I would try to get as many animals as I could and take them to the nearest vet or shelter and try to get then taken care of. IF the nearest shelter wont take them, I would to call an animal control unit to come and help. To try to help the animals if you dont want to or cant take them to a shelter I would try to put out food for them and maybe build a couple of shelters for the winter months. Otherwise theres nothing really you can do, but help care for them as much as possible.
