Welcome all who have ventured in!

As you might have guessed this is an art thread...duh!

Everything here is a product of what I've learned of photography and graphic design so far. I might possibly post some photos of paintings I've done in art but here you will mostly find various projects and other random doings of mine in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and iPhoto.

I encourage you to leave some feedback, good and/or bad. Trust me, I can take it. wink

Also, please stop by again. I plan to add and change things often!

Photography

Everything below was taken by me with either my old Sony Cybershot or my current camera, a Nikon D70. The photos are edited in either iPhoto, (Mostly just for color adjustments), and/or Photoshop.

User Image

One of several B&W's from the photo project for school. This one was done completely in iPhoto.

User Image

This was the product of playing with an LED light and an extended exposure time. I went in and added the red, white, and blue over lay with Photoshop.

User Image

Another from the school project. It reminds me of a bar after closing time. This version was edited in Photoshop.

User Image

My first go at isolating a piece of a photo and editing it somehow. It was simple enough to do and I love the outcome.

User Image

The exit sign was edited in the same way as the above picture, except it was then put into iPhoto to add the grungy look to it.

User Image

The no-longer-in-use climbing tower at school. My class was out taking photos on the cross country course and a few of us hopped over to it to see if it was worth shooting. I'd say so.

User Image

This fountain in Switzerland shot water nearly 140 meters into the air. In the original, the rainbow is almost invisible. My goal was to try and make it look more like a painting than a photo.

User Image

These initial are carved into some wooden steps outside my school's baseball field. This one actually won the cover contest for my school's literary magazine. ^^ Editing was done completely in iPhoto.

There is more to come, once I get around to resizing some of these other pictures. Check below for a few works in Adobe Illustrator.

Random Doings

Everything on this page was made in Adobe Illustrator. Some were projects for school, some were just the product of me piddling around and learning just what the program can do. I'm always finding new things and it's never been dull!

User Image

This is the first graphic I created with my own version of the software. Yeah, I was big into those stick animations that were popping up everywhere at the time...

User Image

Another product of stick animation fandom...this was an attempt at a wallpaper...

User Image

One of several personal logos I've created for myself...

User Image

This took all of five minutes of me playing with the pen tool and different stroke designs...I was pleased with the turnout...

User Image

My mother actually came to me with a request to recreate the Olive Garden logo for her school's teacher break room...This was the outcome...

As always, there is more to come!

These are really nice. I love kermit ^_^ May I steal him??? XD
I have illustrator but never got around to doing anything with it.
I've been too busy messing around with photoshop and my friends pictures.
Do you know any good illustrator or photoshop tutorials online? I used a tutorial to do a wallpaper with all my friends that took about two and a half hours since I'm still a beginner crying

Hoppy, (my name for him - Cheesey, ne?), is all yours. In fact, anything on this page that I post is up for grabs so long as you don't claim it as your own work. It's just not good for either of us. Otherwise, have at it. In fact, I should post that at the top. -makes a mental note for later-

As far as tutorials go, why not see if you can pick up copies of the tutorial books that come with the software themselves? They're the best I've come across so far. I haven't found anything close to them online yet.

I like the second one, it would have been a very interesting wallpaper indeed. I also like the modified Olive Garden logo. Very nice. <3

Illustrator, eh? I had to do a class project with that... didn't work in my favour (aka, it wouldn't do what I wanted, so I gave up) Photoshop is coming uber slowly to me, but I'll try the advice you left for Capricorn. lol, if I can find the book...
