The afternoon was bright, sunshine pouring down throughout the break of grey clouds. Ever since running in to the red and heart speckeled male, Ravii had been floating on cloud nine - everything seemed absolutely perfect.
The blue eyed female delighted in his company, and ate his sweet words and compliments like she were famished. His gentle, almost silly nature, always left a smile upon her features, and the wolfess truly couldn't get enough of him. She'd never had someone so interested in her company. How had she managed to go so long without knowing the touch of love, or at the very least companionship!
So lonely in her travels, living on her own had become nothing more than a way to survive. But now, waking up and knowing that someone was there waiting for her, knowing that he was usually nothing more than a howl away . . . It felt good.
Very good, and the violet female couldn't seem to shake her joy.
Ears pricked as she trotted through the open fields, the wolfess thought about picking up his trail and surprising him. No no, she told herself - no need to become that attached. They were merely . . . friends. That was all. Friends.
Regardless of their label and title, Ravii felt herself thinking of nothing but Eros, and was anxious to see him when apart. Like now. A shame she had no other friends to run in to. . . Thus far, Eros was the only one she'd seen on more than one occassion.
Sniffing the cool breeze (spring was in the air, she could feel it), Ravii heaved a small sigh. Well. . . nothing left to do than wander. Resuming her trot, violet and cream made a bee-line across the open field and headed toward the familiar trails of the forest.

The wolf emerged out of the forest, her blue tail that was tinged white with several white small spots dragging on the ground, though now, the white was a light brown from the door or mud that clung to the fur. Her drooped green eyes looked sad as she raised her head to see another wolf close by, just a few strides as she thought.
The female wolf froze. This was her first time in awhile meeting another one, and not communicating had taken great damage on Shira. She continued walking until she was in speaking distance with the other. In a soft, raspy voice, she murmured, “H-hullo. Who might you be?”
She immediately sat down for she felt her wobbly legs coming close to giving out. Her tail curled around herself as her ears twitched curiously. She, inside herself, felt excited of meeting someone, but she didn’t allow herself on the outside to show it.
She had grown up with no love or friends. Her mother and father died when she was young, and ever since, Shira was alone. As she thought of it, she was lucky even surviving, or being born. But she attempted to push such thoughts out of her head and be happy. Pulling on the fake smiles and giggling when she just wanted to frown and cry.

Ravii was quick to snap to attention as soon as an unfamiliar scent - and wolf - drifted out to the open nearby. The cerulean fur was striking with her white splotches staining her fur like snow. A very pretty female, to say the least, and Ravii couldn't help but feel . . homely.
Oh well.
What did it matter?
Eros thought she were beautiful, and that was all that she needed to know. Some wolf out there thought she were something special, something wonderful. And that was all she needed to remember.
Pausing in her trot, she turned to face the azure female, sniffing the air and reading what signs she could. Her tail was raised lightly, but her ears and body language was relaxed. With Shira's raspy greeting, Ravii knew there was little to fear.
If any agression were to be present, then the other female would have her teeth bared and tail raised. She woudn't have flopped down on the ground so casually if she were less than amicable. Returning the favor, she didn't drop to her haunches, but she did allow a friendly smile to cross her features.
"I'm Ravii," she greeted amicably, tail tip wagging in good humor. "And whom might you be?" She'd never seen the wolf around, but then, there were many wolves she hadn't met, and more entering the surrounding area daily.

She bowed her royal blue head. "My name is Shira," she said slightly clearer then before. Tilting her head back up, she looked into Ravii's eyes. "It is very nice to meet you, Miss Ravii." She was sure the wolf was female.
Trying to look more polite, she forced her drooped ears up. Her skinny front legs straightened into a stiff stick.
But though she seemed to look more polite, she knew that she looked horrible. Sometimes from drinking some water from a lake, she'd see her hideous reflection. A bag of bones with fur and some fat.
Her tail wagged a bit as well. "How are you this fine day, Miss Ravii?" she asked. She had grown a habit of addressing them with miss and mister.
