Since I was a child, I have always loved the American Girl dolls, and I adored the adorable horses and riding outfits they made. Sadly, to this day, I have never owned an AG doll. sad
Anyway, as a riding instructor, I come across a lot of horse loving children that cherish these dolls and horses. Felicity is a big favourite, along with her mare Penny. The kids love it when I actually know what they're talking about when they tell me of Felicity's adventures.
I just got their new catalogue today, and they are releasing a new girl - and she's a cowgirl! whee They also made a new horse in a trotting pose with Western tack.
So, did you play with AGs as a child? Do you know of anybody else that fuels their horsey love with these dolls?

I used to play with them. I have two horses like the American girl ones, but instead they are plastic. I don't play with those horses anymore though.

OMG!! my sisters and i had 4 of them, two josefina's (my sis won one) one samantha and one molly (molly and 1 josefina were mine) my little sis had a doll named lissie, and my older sis and i had two others named mary and whats-her-face ( haha, can't remember the name) but anyways, we always played with them! i got one of the doll horses from Target for the dolls, and named her Lady Morgaine, she was pretty, a dun (looks like spirit from the animated movie, and had western gear) now she props my door open.....haha. reminisicing on wonderful childhood memories.... sweatdrop
i've also got a huge bin full of model horses that i used to play with: loving family, grand champs, "generic brand" and breyer.... aahhhh, the life of a horse lover...haha.

A few christmases ago, I got a palomino mare and foal...I hate them, however..They are wasting space, theyre pretty scary..I have no use for them, nor do I want them, or have I ever...Is there any chance they would dissapear if I hid them in my closet? Or would they still be there the next time I was digging around in there?

I used to want one soooooooooo bad then one christmas my mom said "Do you really want this, are you really sure?" And I thought about it, and realized I was too old for dolls. I thought about what I would do with them, and I realized that they would gather dust on my shelf.

Whenever I get an American Girl catalogue, I start to circle everything that I want, and then calculate, then eliminate, then calculate, and do this over and over again until I cannot eliminate anymore. The sad thing is... The total is usually over $1,ooo. crying So I have never had an American Girl doll.
