Why is it that as soon as I'm comfortable and happy with the way I look, someone has to go and say something? In the years I've been in high-school, I've gotten not a single word. No giggles, no whispering, no laughing, no pointing.... nothing... These years have been wonderful compared to middle school... And over time, I felt better. But as soon as I'm over things that have been said... I get s**t from someone... That familiar sting came back, and it burns just as bad as it did back then. Why, of all the times? And why in that situation? I was in front of people, I was doing good. No sickness, no nervousness. I was going to be able to do what I needed to, no problems... It wasn't my turn yet to help teach, but I was in front of the class. I was doing good... Not only had I worked up my self-esteem, I worked up the guts to go in front of a classroom full of people. Going from not being able to get up to turn in my work, even... to going up, and getting ready to teach... then that comment... *sigh* It hurt. I had to leave the class so they wouldn't see me upset. I had to pull it off as being nervous... me teachers still think I'm nervous... but with today, even though I'm not... or wasn't... I am again. And I have to climb back up. All thanks to some ******** don't like feeling like this. I shouldn't feel like I did before. I should be happy now. But with today, I can't be...

I know how you feel. Kids still did that to me (until I graduated early, now I don't have to deal with those ********). In English class this year, the teacher called on me to read outloud, and I kept messing up because I don't read out loud very well. I was skipping words, letters, adding things in, and in general, getting flustered for repeating things I'd already read. Well, some of the class began laughing, and I just kinda started to cry. I stopped reading and waited for them to shut the ******** up and get overthemselves, but that didn't happen, so the teacher told them to shut up. Good thing is she never asked me to read outloud again.
I also hate getting up in front of any of my classes, but Choir kinda helped me with that, except that was with strangers. There was one time in 8th grade when we had projects over the medieval era, and some kid kept making fun of my project (granted, it did suck, I got a 67 on it) and to get him to shut up, I said his name in my speech. Something along the lines of, "And they would pour hot oil or water and throw stones on the enemy below, isn't that right, :insert name here since I forgot confused " Except, I had the dangerous things being thrown at him. My teacher wasn't very happy, but it made him shut up.
But... yeah. ^_^; I know how that feels.

What did the cuntbag say? I think you look just fine.
Mys A: A lot of people have a hard time reading aloud, even in high school. I always hated doing those kind of presentations, whether it was reading in class or speaking in front of people.

Well, I'm feeling better about this now. Time, SM and a shower helped. Last days are too emotional. I should avoid leaving the house on them. -.-
@ Myst; Blah. That's why I didn't have to say anything. I never read. At the beginning of every semester I tell all my teachers about the nervous thing. Which is still kinda iffy some, but not as bad as it was last year. It's why can't read out loud, too. Sometimes I get an a**-hole sub though, who doesn't believe me.
Haha. Awww. Oh well. At least is didn't last long this time, the feeling.
@ Mar; I know... Blah, something really stupid to get so bothered over... A person in my group had on a shirt that said "If I throw a stick, would you go away?" or something like that. He said that to me. What I think the shirt means is: a girl is being bothered by (a) guy(s) who/is are annoying, much like a dog. Dogs like this are usually smelly, yappy, dirty and/or ugly... To get an annoying, yappy dog such as that to go away, you throw something to distract it. Like a stick. In a way, he was calling me a dog. But that's just thinking too much. I doubt anyone in that class would be smart enough to figure it like that. *sigh* I'm silly.

Highschool's just dumb.
I'd like to say, "Don't let the bastards get you down. Just hit them back twice as hard so they remember it doesn't pay," but that would be legally ill advised. So I'll say this:
Don't let the bastards get you down. Just remember that if the school allows behavior that distresses you to the point it interferes with your right to an education you can pursue legal recourse.
sigh. I was meant to live in a time with weregild and family justice, but instead I was born here.

Yeah, he was. And laughed like hell when stared at him in shock, kinda... Blah. "Oh, man! Did you see that face she made?! Hahaha!!" Meh. Not such a bother -now-. Just annoying.
@ Toria; Really. Exactly why it bothered me so much. Reliving my middle school days is something that never needs to happen.
@ Peeka; I know. I'd like that too, but saying something to me once isn't enough, in my eyes, to hurt them. Not that I would be able to, anyway. He hasn't said anything else, but if he does, I'll just either tell him off, or tell the teacher. I don't want him to get out of school though, he'd love that. That's a big reason people rebel at school so much. Do bad, get kicked out for a day. Meh.
