No, not really.
Well, kinda.
After a rather refreshing a long-awaited Akira-centric story(safe to read even if you haven't read past Vol. 12/13, or don't know a word of Japanese, for that matter) , the next part of the stage is set.
SPOILER SPACE. YOU'LL THANK ME LATER
Negi is trying to help his students with their finals, but after Summer vacation starts, he wants to go back to Wales to track down clues about his Father.
And he wants Asuna to come with him.
And he's really not sure if he'll be coming back to Mahora after that.
On the other hand, it's now official that Anya does, in fact, have some interest in Negi.
Akamatsu then states that the next chapter will be the final chapter... for the First Term.
This leads me to believe we may be on the verge of a semi-profound change in the story, possibly on the lines of the Naruto Timeskip or the split from Dragon Ball to Z. But anything could happen in the next chapter, changing the plans of Negi or the girls, 'cause you know someone's gonna find out.
So what do you think will happen?
Will Akamatsu do a skip, and come back a few week/months later storyline-wise with Negi coming back to Mahora, Asuna(and Anya?) in tow?
Will he focus on the Girls, and how they do without Negi, like he did with Keitaro in Love Hina?
Will he detail Negi and Asuna(and anyone else who comes with)'s adventures in Britain or elsewhere in the world?
Will he do all of the above, switching between Negi and other Girls?

dunno but i hope negima deosnt just become another naruto or DBZ cause both those series started good and went to crap

I agree with what Firrox said. Though we need some more character development with the others that didn't get a good call.

It might be a good idea for Akamatsu. I think he will follow both, switching back and forth for a little while.

We also find out that [SPOILERS IN WHITE]Asuna's last name isn't Kagurazaka after all. In fact her real name is Asuna Vesperina Theotanasia Entheofushia.[SPOILER ENDS] I hope it doesn't end after this arc. We still need some more character development to make up for the mistakes in the past.
