I don't know why but after the battle outside the BIG Oblivion Gate near Bruma a guard started attacking Martin Septim for some reason.
Martin walked back to the Cloud Ruler Temple followed all the way by this guard shouting: "Stop, you're under arrest!..."
But he didn't seem to care, walked along and healed himself now and then. I killed the guard after a while. (Of course I got arrested for that later..) confused
At a later point of the Game - shortly before the final battle - you have to meet Martin in the White Gold Tower.
After I had entered a video sequence started where Martin should explain what to do next.
But in the middle of the sequence the palace guards rushed in and killed the Septim heir... I could do nothing but stand there and watch him die (video....) and finally got the message that my game is over 'cause the heir to the throne was killed. xd

The guard attacked martin probably because some time durning the fight martin accedentally hit the guard which then the game rules came into play and the guard tryed to arrest him. As far as I know, NPCs dont know how to yeild to eachother.
