My question is:
What do you do for headaches when pain killers don't work? What's your longest headache?
I rarely get them, so when I get one that seems to stay around for a few days I tend to worry about it which makes it worse.

I can get bad head aches that last for hours that are not really head aches but a migrahn. (sp?)If they are are really bad I don't recomend this but you can try to put luke warm water in your ear and lay on your side. This can help me sometimes. Sometimes though they don't help becuase you are so nauses. Try sleeping. Thats all that can help me when they hurt so bad. But you can all so try a ice cub or a heating pad on them. I hope this helps ^_^ 3nodding 3nodding 3nodding heart blaugh blaugh

Hrrmm. One of my friends suffers from really bad headaches, and what works for her is having some nice herbal tea, often with chamomile in it, and laying down with a hot water bottle (wrapped in a towel so it's just a gentle warmth) against her head.

Oh snap. I forgot I had a huge container filled with chamomile tea in the cupboard.
I found out the reasons for my headaches when I went to the doctor the other day.
I've done something to my neck.
I'll try drinking that tea to see if it helps.

When I get headaches I put a cold cloth over my eyes and eat ice. It sounds really strange, but it's the only thing that works for me!! blaugh

When I get headaches, I go to sleep. Sleep cures everything, at least for me. 3nodding

When I get headaches, they can get pretty nasty! Most times, medications don't work for me either, so what I do is have a luke warm bath, then take a nap with a cold compress over my eyes. Works like a charm in most cases. When that doesn't work, I have a cup of rosemary tea. I know it sounds odd, but it works for me!

My worst headaches are hunger headaches, or if I haven't slept enough. I eat something... something big and filling. A meal, not a snack. Then I pop the aspirin and lay down with a heating pad. It helps a little.
Or, sometimes I get headaches if I listen to music for too long with my headphones on. As soon as I take them off it starts going away. If you know the source of the headache, take that away and you should feel a little better immediately. If it's random, I dunno then. Just try taking a nap and making yourself warm. Rub your temples. I usually get headaches when I read in the car, or spend too much time on the computer or playing on my Nintendo DS. But it's not usually too big. To make myself feel a little better, I usually put an ice pack on it and take a rest.
If it's really bad, I usually get dizzy and when I lay down, everything starts spinning. O.o Then I get a mild stomach ache. That's when I start using medication. But my dad told me not to take medicine too much, because it weakens your body...or something like that. Because when you get sick or something, your protective cells come out to make you feel better, and that somewhat makes your body stronger.
That's what I heard, anyways.

Well I know about all sorts of headache cures. First off stress can be a large part of this. I won't go further into the stress thing as I already did in the Anxiety post. Other things might be unregular meals. Try to get three meals around the same time each day. (This is the thing that cured my headache problems.) Try to get at least eight hours of sleep a day, if this doesn't cure the headaches at least it will help with energy and such. Finally try a cup of green tea. Green tea is incredibly good for you and can help cure just about everything. However I'm not a professional so talk to your general doctor if they are really painfull. Hope this helps. 3nodding

When I get headaches I drink really cold water slowly. I would take Tylenol or something, but they don't work for me. And my longest headache, I'm not sure. Maybe half hour to and hour, it was horrible. It was really painful too. :S
