Since nobody has said anything yet, I thought I should make a thread about this. NIS recently released Soul Cradle for PS2 in Japan, and it looks really good. Im guessing that it will be released in the late summer or fall of this year, but im not sure sweatdrop . Here are the trailers (in japanease) if your interested.

If you watch the second trailer closely, you will notice someone that looks alot like Walnut from Phantom Brave

I'm really frustrated that there isn't anymore information released on this game. There are only about three threads on gamefaqs on the game, and there aren't any reviews yet. Usually when a new NIS game comes out there is alot of publicity. I knew about Makai Kingdom two months after Phantom Brave><

There are a couple more trailers and short movies on youtube out, but again the information at this point is minimal at best>< From what I can tell, there is a new field system that brings back the grids in a new fashion, and battles sort of represent a cross between the old FF face offs and La Pucelle's cut scenes for attacks. I certainly hope this game comes out in fall...it'd certainly be a welcome addition to any NIS collection^^

I found out more information on the game. Here is a link to the games official website; however, it's in Japanese, and again, my katakana skills are horrid. I'm learning Japanese, but I can't translate such things yet. But at least you can take a look at the characters and glance at some of the games other details.

There is also some news regarding the game on IGN's website. There is a bit of background to the story, which explains why some of the characters are over 200 years old. *coughLenacough*

Asagi is so bad a** in this game! I just hope other Nippon Ichi characters will appear again like other games. After all, what's a NIS game without appearances by our favorite overlord? Yes, I'm talking about Laharl.

Aparently, the battle system is a bit more indepth than la pucelle. On screen, and a very large screen it is, is the "Leader" character of a squad. In that squad is a group of characters depending on the type of squad it is. Basically...one on screen character represents a war party. The idea is to kill the leader of the squad to make the squad disappear from the grid.

Release date is Aug. 25 according to GameSpot.
