Have you ever noticed that when you read different books by the same authors, they have small little personal phrases, names, same characters, character types, or words that make it undoubtedly theirs?
This is considered their signature.
Sample:
#1. Some authors dedicate multiple books to the same person/people
#2. Stephen King created his own fictional town of Derry that has been mentioned in three of his books.

Tom Clancy: Created his own hero for several books that are unrelated but have the same main character.

LuAnne Rice- She seems to always have her main characters with an Irish heritage as well as to have a personal struggle in a relationship normally Main Female Character VS Male Character

Louis L'amour mixes facts with fantasy in all his books. For example in his book The Haunted Mesa every rock, tree, leaf, and pebble he says is there, really is exactly where he said it was, or so I've heard by a reliable source. He also uses stories from the past and adds a twist to them, causing quite a mind capturing affect, at least in my opinion.
