Isn't it "elitist"?
Being a member of the superior elite simply means one is more elite than the rest, not that they're the "elitest" person around. That's the only context in which I could imagine "elitest" being mistaken for a real word, but that's never the context I see it in.
This gets me right in the same tender spot that the mixup between "hoard" and "horde" does. The murderous-red-rage-triggering spot.
I'd be a total Nazi if I actually corrected people.
