Well, not too many people actually post in this forum, so I'm going to! I'll make this thread to talk about my favorite styles, and such. For those of you who don't know. I'm basically learning two styles, Praying Mantis Kung-Fu, and Sho-Rin-Ryu Karate. I would include Capoeira in the list, but I'm self learning so it's really slow. I really LOVE Star Wars, and videogames, especially Dynasty Warriors 5, but other than that my life is pretty boring.
OK, I'm leaving this thread to you guys. I would really like to know how many styles people know because I'm on a personal quest to learn every style I can before I die.

I haven't really tried any others. I'm afraid! When I looked every single one up, they all had the world "discipline" in the description.
And then came terrible visions of me getting hit by an asian martial artist, and then pain. MUCH PAIN!!!
But I could be blowing things out of proportion.

Yeah, well, it's really easy. I mean it's not hard to learn the nessicary skills and still have fun. My Kung-Fu class is a little too much strung out but we still learn A LOT.

My friend, Kent(amazingly insane guy) does Tae Kwon Do, and just got his black belt. Apparently in his group, they copy a lot of film moves just to see if it works. It sounds fun.
Btw, he and I are obsessed with Star Wars, so if you ever want to talk to a guy who can slip in an SW reference every other line, hes the man.

Well, growing up in America, which has no spiritual attacment to ANYTHING. I have a strong bond with China and Kung-Fu. I love it so much. I love Martial Arts in general. My life would be nothing without them.

I guess it is obvious that I prefer Capoeira... I am NOT a MESTRE!! Someone else made this profile who knew I practice.
CAPOEIRA rocks though!!! exclaim I'm affiliated with Capoeira Brasil. However... I love to study other martial arts, and if I had found an affordable martial art to practice at the point that I was mature enough to find one independent of my parents, then I would probably be practicing something else as well if not in the place of Capoeira.
But Capoeira, I learn for FREE! I helped start the group in my hometown and reep the benefits of being a core student! ninja
NEwayz...I'm a noob in Capoeira...don't even have a nickname yet... Anyone else more experienced AND affiliated?
