Aryn had perched himself in a tree and slightly he scanned at random the srounding lawn. His tail flicked and an ear turned listening. One of his legs was neatly tucked under his rear while his right leg swung back and forth. His only visible eye squinted against the diming light of the twilight. The fox sighed slightly as he shifted slightly to relieve the pressure on his leg he sat on. "I wonder..." He carefully untucked the already numbing limb out from under him and allowed it to dangle like his other leg. Finding he could balance himself on the tree limb still he was satisfed and contuined to gaze into the purple hazed sky.
He closed his eyes finally, and shivered. Studying the ring on his finger he felt tears well up. This ring was special. It was a gift from James, and there for ment more to him than anything he currently owned. Smiling slightly he exsaminded it curiously for perhaps the millionth time.

James flicked his tail to and fro as he sighed and stared at a package that lay right before it. It was in pink wrapping, hearts and glitter plastered all over it. He twitched and whined in his head, knowing deep inside what was in this package that was handed to him on the way out of that party...
It was odd.. for James.. to question himself. To question his sanity even. As much as he loved Aryn he was unsure.. about this, this package. "Drink immediatly" it says on the small clip of paper attached to it. So soon? James wasn't even married... kids? How much would he go through just to make someone else happy? Aryn might make James more content at times, more happy, even more tolerant for certain things but this was a little drastic. A child isnt something you have then its over. Its part of you, something you have to take care of for many many years. Hell, Lupin was bad enough and Spike had two randomly running about. Considering Spike still doesnt know why the ******** the kids are there and HOW the kids are his its not that pretty.
He sniffled and rolled his chair to the window, catching a glimpse of the moon shimmering through the glass. Noticing the tree rustle he figured it was the wind until he saw the outline of a tail. He got up and wandered outside, staring blankly up at the tree.

Aryn had watched the day fading into from twilight to the night it now was. The glintering moon above caused the fox to feel... Not at ease as he wished it would. He was aggitated.. And worried. He was afraid James no longer wanted anything to do with him. He loved him, he was certain of that. He wanted above all else to make James happy, so far this whole valentines day event had done just the opposite he was fairly sure.
The fox's ears picked up on the sound of foot steps. He looked down from his moon gazing and saw the same squrriel in question walking... Not towords him, he didn't even realize some one was in ther tree Aryn observed.
Knowing he would startle James either way he lightly pushed himself off the branch and landed on his feet and hands touching the ground. As he rose to his feet, having not even made a large thumbing sound he first took a deep breath then exhalled. "You alright?" The fox asked. It was tenative really at all, it was clear spoken and sincere. Aryn was honestly concerned.

James was a sucker for romantic movies yet living in one was still .. well odd for him. He always wished he could be the one to take action and actually do something without feeling scared to. He knew the tail had to be Aryn's yet he wasn't expecting the fox to jump down like that. James froze and thought he was about to have a heart attack. "A... Aryn! ... What are you doing outside so late? ... You scared the hell out of me...." He stared at his lover and bit his lip. He was at a loss for words. He had so much to say... so much to ask and yet he couldn't bring up the courage to talk about any of that it seemed. Instead he merely twitched and slowly altered his gaze back to the house.
"Do you... wish to go inside? It's really late Aryn.." Like a child with nothing else to really do he meeped slightly before saying more. "I .. had baked cupcakes, if you care to want any" he said sheepishly. Perhaps talking with Aryn about anything other than the other night would clear his mind for once. He felt his hand raise up to his shirt collar, slightly brushing against the necklace that had been given to him. He hadn't taken it off and he wasn't ever planning to. He wanted to ask something so badly but he... couldn't ...

Aryn actually stopped to take a very close look at his lover, perhaps it was the hesitation in James voice but he could feel almost like a weight on his chest that James was unerved about one thing or another. He had a very sneaking suspicion it was himself that was the root of Jame's distress.
"I suppose I was out watching the sun set, then lost track of time." The fox laughed softly and looked down at his finger. He still wore the ring James had given him. He'd be damned if he ever took it off. Not only was it something from James...But it held he knew many memories.
"If you'll come with me, I will." He looked fully into the others eyes, seeing an unspoken question sitting on James mind. Aryn offered out a hand to the squrriel, the one with the ring infact. "Don't worry so much.." He said softly, now looking down at the ground. "Even if you can't tell me.. I still want you to know I'll listen any time." Smiling finally he looked back up and brushed some of his hair away from his face. "Cupcakes eh? Are the chocolate flavored?" He took a step forword, he had a rare smile on his face. One that actually showed in his eyes.

James wimpered slightly and took Aryn's hand. "... You.. listen a lot I see. Even when I'm drunk and talking about nothing whatsoever. Aryn.. I.." He stopped himself and blushed, turning his head to the door then back to the night sky. He didn't know what to do anymore really. ".. Thank you Aryn, it means a lot no matter how I react at times.."
With a meep he slowly led Aryn into the house, ignoring the snoring of everyone else upstairs. Lupin had caused enough commotion during the day. He fed the children beer, it took wise strategic actions from James to hide this from Spike. He would have killed Lupin if he would have found out the beer had been left out like that. He then would have killed James more than likely for not have killed Lupin first. As payment Lupin now has to iron everyone's close for a month, including his own heart boxers.
James opened the microwave and took out a plate of cupcakes. Sniffing at the chocolate he winced and eventually placed them onto the table. They had little heart candies on them and sprinkles. He had kinda went nuts with them actually.

The fox tilted his head at Jame's, "Of course I'd listen to you." He stated seriously. "I would..even if you asked me not to." He added softly as he moved inside the house. "You've done alot for me, it is the least I can offer." He smiled warmly.
Aryn knew of the whole beer insident as well.. Hell he was even aware of the fact Lupin had to do ironing for the next month, but regardless Aryn kind of figured he wouldn't the theif touch his clothing.. He worried he'd get them back with ironer shaped holes.
His one visible eye, and perhaps the other lit up in suprise at the decoration of the cupcake. He saddly adored sweets among his odd love of sushi he'd developed over the months. His tail actually visibly wiggled as he chuckled. "Thank you.. Honestly." He looked up into James eyes, giving him the full weight of his gaze. "Not for just this, everything." He steped forword and wraped both arms around his lover he held him tightly to him.
"I'm not even sure...If he knows how much he really means to me." Aryn thought to himself as he closed his eyes with a small sigh, not of annoyance but relaxing perhaps.

James smiled his usual smile and flicked his tail as he hugged Aryn. While doing so he peered on the table where a package lay. "Aryn.. likes music... would he like to come with me somewhere?" With a meep he pointed to the table. Tickets were inside, to what only god knows. Before hearing an answer he slinked closer to the cupcakes and snatched on, nibbling on it like a frantic rabbit. It wasn't what was on his mind. He didn't mind asking Aryn out anymore. The bottle on the table was stressing him out though and he needed peace with it. He just didn't know how to ask. "For.. everything?" Aryn blushed even more red than before. "Aryn.. I.. your welcome but..." He stared at Aryn then the cupcake before shoving the cupcake into his mouth for an excuse not to finish his sentence.
With a sigh he sat down and pulled the plate to the middle of the table for easy reach. He planned on pigging out tonight if Aryn would let him. Perhaps sugar would help him loosen up anyway. Cheaper than beer and tastes better.

Aryn looked at the package on the table curiously then back at James. He did enjoy music, and by all means loved going out with the other as it was. The fox took a seat and reached across the table to at least have one cupcake. He was fine for James pigging out if he pleased, by all means, Aryn thought to himself. "Yes for everything." He added softly looking at the other.
He smiled shaing his head. "By the way, I know I am not the greatest of chief, but I can make us something to eat.. You always seem to get pinged with doing dinner afterall, that is unless you prefer we order chinese?" He leaned back in his chair and sat one leg lain across the other leg, his foot moving to his opposite leg lightly bouncing up and down.
Aryn closed his eyes though, he could sense James wasn't telling him something. The fox never liked to pry, but it was troubling him knowing James was almost at war with himself. "You know my offer always stands, if you need to talk, I'll be here no matter, when, where or what about." he added, one eye opened, the other blind eye closed.

James chewed the remains of what was left of his cupcake. He was trying not to choke on it actually. Shoving an entire cupcake in your mouth at once is quite a feat to some people. As he pondered to himself about supper he licked the remaining icing off of his hands. He pawed at the package on the table and silently swiped it. Carefully he slipped it into his pants pockets before half-heartidly glaring at the pink bottle still on the table in front of him.
"Chinese.. this late? Aren't they closed by now? Fried Rice sounds nice but .." As he attempted to scan the area of the table for anything icing-wise he mused to himself about the possibilities of supper. While he liked Aryn's cooking he himself preferred to cook. It would prove to be a dilemma either way for him. He turned around and let his tail brush against Aryn's leg. "Food.. is whatever you want dear. I'll have you know .. if you do happen to cook my kitchen kings wrath shall rain apon thee though" he said coughing a bit.
He sat down and continued to let his tail brush against Aryn while silently ignoring the last comment made to him.

The fox watched almost in some form of suprise. He'd seen James wolf down cupcakes and other similar sweets before without blinking but it always suprised him. Then again that was how he treated ice cream, it didn't surivive long enough to melt. Pushing the second cupcake and plate he hadn't touched yet towords James knowning he'd want it he finished of his first and savored the taste, he loved the others cooking, he'd willingly go diabetic for these.. He never indulged himself completely, if he did hell only knew when he'd stop.
Aryn titled his head slightly at the pink bottle, it looked a touch strange. Then it dawned on him what it's contents held, but perhaps out of curiotsy didn't push anything. He never did, it wasn't his buisness to ride..unless riding was nessicary to actually know what was wrong. This wasn't one of those moments.
Chuckling he noded his head looking now fully at the other. "Yea, I know I'm lame. I think there might be a place.. But there dilvery charge is murder." Feeling the brush of the others leg he shruddered slightly and unconciously ran his hand across the softy fur. His ears flickered slightly, listening to both of there hearts rythms. His own silvery colored tail coiled in an almost hand holding fashion around the bushier tail.
Quirking a brow at the wrath being rained down upon him. "Oh?" He leaned forwords slightly eyes locked onto the others. He had seen James skillfully avoid his offer of being a lean on.
