To The Questers

This is a forum in our guild where you can start your Quest thread and/or keep track of your quest. later on when we have more people in our guild I personally will hold a contest where I will give away some items that are quested by our members. You don't have to have a quest thread somewhere else. As long as I see you keeping your thread in here, and keeping track of your progress I will consider you for my gift giving contest.
I don't have to give you anything. But I feel like I should help people who deserve my help.

Other members who think they want to help our questers please do so. If you can afford then please give back to the community.

This are some rules to follow.

arrow What should be posted if a quester is asking for gold in a charity: what you are questing for, how much you have saved, how much the item costs, how much gold is needed to acquire said item, and a link to your quest thread if you have one!

arrow All too often I see "quest threads" that say "I want (insert item here) gimmie Money!!!!" This is not the best way to go. Donators like to see well-constructed and well thought out quest threads. As Panaceradio says in the etiquette, this is why many people donate to "rich" Gaians as opposed to "poor" Gaians. The "rich" Gaians tend to have more well-constructed quest threads, and this is appealing to the eye. Such things as an introduction, gold read out, your gold or item goal, a donors list, and a BIG thank you are appreciated on these threads.

arrow Next, if you're questing, and you are quite new, please quest for realistic items. if you've only joined a few days previous and you are now questing for a HALO, no offense, it's not going to happen. Not ONE person in their right mind would donate to a quest of that magnitude when you've only been here a few days.... Not many would donate to a quest like that if you've been on a few MONTHS.

arrow When a person comes into your thread to bump or wish you luck or give you advice, do NOT ask them specifically for a donation. If they wish they will donate. You state ONCE that you wish for donations in the first post, then happily bump your thread. I cannot stress this enough!

arrow Do NOT insult or threaten would be donators.... this gets you nothing, proves you're a rude and obnoxious person.

arrow NEVER, I repeat, NEVER advertise YOUR quest in someone else's Quest thread. Along with this comes DO NOT use the "I bumpped you, now you bump me" thing... This is getting tiresome people. If you want to advertiese, get a banner and stick it in your sig, don't expect people to bump for you if you bump them, just be happy you're helping someone out buy shoving their thread to the top of the list.

arrow DON'T USE THE WORD "NEED." you don't NEED Pixels, so don't use the word!

arrow Okay, "I will strip/kiss/WHATEVER for gold" threads are incredibly inappropriate. They don't get donations! All you get if you make one of these threads is a bunch of angry charity goers flaming you, and a moderator deleting the thread.

arrow OVER USE OF THE crying gonk EMOTICON IS PUNISHABLE BY DEATH! It's SO annoying to have 20 of them in one post. Just don't use it!

If anyone has more ideas or any suggestions on how to make this more helpful please post here or PM me personally.

Also, its really important to be friendly, show respect and read everything! Most of the time in charity threads, they will have you fill out one or more applications. Make sure you always read through the whole front page first and always to say thank you in your application! I can't stress this enough! The reason why a lot of noobs aren't donated to in the charity forum is because they're disrespectful and they don't read the front page of the thread.

Some more specific explanations:
--->Always read the front page. If you need to fill out an application, it will be on the front page. Sometimes the people running the charities will stick clues in their posts. I became a pseudo-mod at one charity and I had to turn down a lot of applications because they didn't read the rules. In the rules, the owner clearly stated in bold letters, please put a <3 in your application under the 'Why should you get a donation' section. But a lot of people didn't read it so a lot of people missed out on some gold. Another example of this was when I was trying to fill out an application for a wonderful charity (the owner didn't get on much though). She had clues in every post, but they were hidden in long paragraphs or she had put them in white text. That way she'd know if someone worked to fill out her application and really deserved it or not.
--->Be courteous and friendly! If the owner of the charity decides not to donate to you for ________ reason (or none at all) then say 'Thanks for reading over my application anyways and have a good day!' or something along those lines. I'd suggest bumping a bit afterwards just to show that you're a good sport before leaving. Owners like bumpers >w<
--->Like Sic said, you do not NEED an item. If you feel overwhelmed at ANY time during your quest, take a short break from questing! I'm not saying to spend everything you saved up, but if you have like 500k saved up for an angelic scarf, don't feel bad about buying a sealed or a giftbox item. You can always get the gold back so don't worry about it!

I'll add more later, I just got Trinity Blood in the mail >w<
