me and my friend were talking about american history X , and the thought occured to me-
why did they name the nazis....nazis?
even the name sounds evil.
why couldnt they name them like the fluffer puffs or something?
because hey.
if there was such a thing,
i'd be a fluffer puff.

The full name of the Nazi party was the National Socialist Worker's Party of Germany, or in German, the Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei. Since that's a bit of a mouthful, people shortened it down to Nazi as a nickname. The Nazis didn't call themselves Nazis.

Nazi wouldn't sound bad to anybody who has never heard the word before. You've been bought up to know the word means fascist though.

For some reason he really hates it. Still, not as fun as Politics. You can always rely on our resident conservative evangelical Christian to come out with some outrageous comments. Mocking him is like shooting fish in a barrel, but dammit, it's too fun to pass up.
