I have had several encounters with a ghostly arm in my room - the room in which my grandfather died ten years ago. Sorry for the text wall.
Once when I was sitting on my bed, something grabbed my left hand really tightly and wouldn't let go for a couple of seconds. I didn't move, and it went away.
Then, some time after that, I was listening to music on my computer, and I felt someone tap me on the shoulder. I thought it was my mom trying to catch my attention, but when I turned around I realized there was no one standing behind me. I shrugged it off and continued staring at the computer screen, but then it tapped me again. I turned around really fast, my heart beating wildly. Again, there was no one behind. gonk
Recently, I woke up and saw an arm on the balcony, touching some of my clothes that were hung to dry on a metal wire. There were some jackets hanging and they obscured the place where the body should be from my view, but the jackets didn't reach the floor, so you could clearly see that there were no legs touching the floor.
Also, I sometimes hear some ghostly breathing near me. I hold my breath and listen. It sounds like perfectly normal human breathing, it even takes a deep breath sometimes and coughs. It doesn't matter if I'm alone at home or not. It has been happening regardless of the place I sleep in - once it even followed me on summer vacation.
...What do you think? Am I imagining things, or is my house really haunted?

My guess is that, what ever it may be, it's trying to protect you. Or, there is a slight possibility that it may want to harm you. I'd lean more towards the protection though because it seems attached to you. I could be wrong, though, because I'm not an expert. I just know a thing or two.

I'm not quite sure about why it is there, all I know that I would be quite paranoid if that ever happened to me!

Hmm, it does sound like you're not alone.
I don't know what kind of spirit it is or why its in your house. It sounds like its trying to get your attention for some reason.

ninja_of_the_muffin I'm not quite sure about why it is there, all I know that I would be quite paranoid if that ever happened to me! I used to be... But I've stopped fearing ghosts for whatever reason, so I'm not really bothered by it anymore.

Well, it really does sound like it wants to protect you, and maybe even wants to comunicate with you, but i guess you should just let them be and try not to go near any ouija boards ninja

Ouija is bad news. I don't care how friendly a spirit is, stay the hell away from Ouija.

Lucky J Ouija is bad news. I don't care how friendly a spirit is, stay the hell away from Ouija. You won't have eyes tonight. You won't have ears or a tongue; you will wander the underworld blind, deaf and dumb... lol Do you have any anecdotal support for this? A friend, perhaps, who died from using Ouija, and the cause of death was unknown? Any support for this statement at all? ...and all the dead will know: this is Hector, fool who thought he killed Achilles.

I hope you never messed with a Ouija board. Things can either bring somethin' to our side, or mess with your mind.
From what it sounds like, it could be the spirit of the deceased. Probably want to yell at ya...like about the music you were listening to, I dunno. "Stupid young'ns and their hippity hop music"
