In some of the earlier episodes (SINS OF THE PAST [#01] and DREAMWORKER [#03]), Argo is referred to as "boy." Starting with the episode THE GREATER GOOD [#21], however, it was made clear that Argo is a mare."

Is she not only refered to as a boy in the first episode? After that I'm almost sure Xena always calls her 'girl' and also calls her a 'mare' which is a female horse XD lol....it can't really be that big of a debate, just a writer screw-up from the first episode

Oh, you know what I thought was random? When Xena came back from being frozen, and Joxer said Argo gave birth to a daughter (obviously right there it proves she's a girl hahah) and no one could ever tame her...Xena randomly just jumps on...bahahh gotta love xena being able to do anything she wants to
