I find it very sad (in a stupid way) that people are so racist, when they meet someone who isn't racist, they're in disbelief.

I use myself as an example. I'm honestly not racist (I dislike people in general, but that's another matter xd ). Skin color doesn't determine if someone is attractive to me, nor does it determine how I treat someone. The only thing I don't like is when people act like stereotypes. xp

But I swear, everytime people find this out, they always think I'm being snobbish or something. Then they want to use the overused quote of "Everyone's a little bit racist."

stare

Okay, anyone who uses that quote is a moron. Avenue Q is no more than a broadway play that's a satire of society. It's not the gospel truth. So stop using its quotes, and think for yourselves. stare

Is this really how low society's fallen? That so many people spread negativity, they can't believe when someone isn't like them?

No...Everyone is a little bit "prejudiced." That's healthy and human. We "shouldn't" judge a book by its cover, but the cover, (appearance), is the first thing you see, the first thing you know about a person, (for most of us, anyway). It's human instinct at work. 3nodding

As for people reacting in bisbelief when they find out you "go against the grain," so to speak, I say, let them think what they will think. If it bothers them that you don't "fit the mold," then that's their problem, not yours. That's the way I've always thought about it, anyway.

It's not really any one person's responsibility to "care" about society, even in its seemingly endless spiral down the proverbial toilet. xd Change what you can in life and don't worry about what you can't change. wink

Yeah, I agree that everyone's prejudiced, as well as biased. Just not racist. The terms are used interchangably, I guess. xp

In life, I really want to improve myself. I don't think peopel can change others until they change themselves. xd
