It had all started out so innocently...
"Dammit! You! Get back here!"
Well. Rather, it started out with a bad day getting worse. A broken watch, on the eve of an important meeting...
"Youch! Hey! That hurt!"
Glumly I stared at that watch. A timex that took a licking, but eventually stopped ticking. I was more than annoyed, I was BETRAYED. But despite all of that, it had appeared that I was in luck. There was a shop nearby that was selling all sorts of time-keeping gadgets. Entering in, I was a bit taken aback by how empty it all was.
"No! Not that! Noooooo!"
But the prices were clearly marked. After calling a few times, I threw the money down, left a card with my name and address and a contact number, and ran out the door. The watches all showed that I was about to be late!
"Oz! I'm going to...."
That was how it started. An innocent purchase. The road to hell was paved with such things, I think. If so, I took the fast track...
The watch functioned erratically. But I was too busy to return it. And now...
"OzymanDIAS!"
Now I'd be willing to pay the STORE to take it BACK!

Where was I? Oh yes, the discussion about innocence. About the decisions that are made daily that should make our lives less...and not more complicated. Should.
What a beautiful concept.
But not us. Nope. We humans are a breed that truly loves to jump from the fire into the furnace. We revel in making a bad situation worse. Even if we didn't intend for it to happen. Even if we bemon that it DOES happen.
Take me for instance. A regular Jane. I work, I come home, I sleep, and I wake up the next morning with the sinking feeling that I am going to do all the same things over again in more or less the same order.
You have to find some sort of wry comfort in being a worker ant.
Or at least I would have...had it not been for Oz.
Not the wonderful wizard of Oz...more like "Ozzfest" type of Oz. Hurricane Oz. The Tsunami Oz.
Ozymandias. The Time Bandit from Hell.
