I've been really thinking about getting a tattoo lately. I play in a Christian punk band, though that's not really a reason, and i've wanted tattoos for a long time. Nothing like skulls and death or naked women. I'd just like three Nautical Stars. Two on the underside of my left arm, one on my right.
I'm just curious, is there anything wrong with it?
Should I have put this in D&D?

Eh, go for it. If you have no personal convictions against it, and your parents are fine with it, I'd say it's alright. I know a pastor and his wife who are covered in tatoos. Mind you, he started a bikers church. He has long hair, a long beard, and is covered in leather. His congregation isn't much different xd . And he's an awesome guy. Totally annointed by God to do amazing things, and he's reached a lot of people.
I only mention parents because it is biblical to obey them. I have a personal beleif that even when one is old and wrinkled, they should still obey their parents.

No. The only verse that could've possibly be construed as prohibiting tattoos (which you're title references) is Levitical Law, and, as such, is spiritually dead to Christians.

I used to go to a church like that.. Ahh, but i'm glad. I go to a very...conservative Baptist church, and my pastor is completely against the idea, while my Youth Pastor says he thinks there's not a problem at all.

not entirely sure where it is located, but somewhere in the bible it talks about how your body is a temple of god (you guys have probably heard it somewhere), and don't harm it yada yada yada. tatoos are basically permant markings, right, so i wouldn't be fore it (unless they are washable xd )

Yes, it's in the New Testament somewhere. But I personally don't think that it's completely wrong. It would be, however, if you felt God was telling you to keep away from such things. God tells different people different things, I believe. Like I said, I know a Pastor who is covered in tatoos. And his church isn't even independant; it's part of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada. So it's not like he's on his own. There are other people (even more conservative ones) that share his vision. I know that in the PAOC statement of faith, or whatever, it doesn't say anything about tatoos and peircings. So really, I don't think it's that big of a deal. But again, if God has said not to, or if you personally feel that it's wrong, then it would be wrong to get a tatoo or a peircing.
I hope that made some sort of sense....
