Well, Alex, my Soom Gena, was the first time I had ever tried to make a doll of a character that already existed, and I think she turned out alright, but I noticed that I haven't been drawing her as much since I got the doll. But when the opportunity came up in my character design class to draw her for a project, I couldn't pass it up. Anywho, I don't think she looks terribly much like her resin counterpart, but I like the drawing anyway, and am interested in getting feedback. Also, I'm an art student, and I have a pretty good sense of humor about my own work, so no honest opinion will be unwelcome.



P.S. The assingment involved drawing a character in your style and two other peoples, here she is in Dave McKean style and Hajime Ueda style respectively

Ok, honest critique here, I love your shading, but on the pants, you shaded in folds, but the edges are still straight. It would probably look better if the edges matched up with the wrinkles in the fabric. Also, something about the wing anatomy bothers me... the first joint and the membrane on top seem somehow off, but I can't pinpoint it.

Otherwise, awesome! I love the character design, do you have a picture of the doll?
