Danwei TV Hard Hat Show: Muzi Mei Sex BloggerHer response to why it's hard to have a relationship particularly intrigued me. She basically said things are shifting and moving a lot faster than the old days, and because of that, long term relationships are slowly losing their place, be they those of friends, or those of a more intimate nature. What I want to know from each of you, is what do you think of the fast paced world we live in? Does it indeed mean we cannot enjoy things that require time and patience to appreciate? Is quick and easy truly the new standard for this world?
As for my take on the subject, well...*clears throat* Being a writer, a psychologist in training, as well as an observer, I can say there is still much to be gained from taking a brief stop, and just looking at all the beauty around you. To actually sit and get involved in an experience, is something I find much more rewarding, than a second of instant satisfaction, that dissipates just as quickly. There is always time to do these things, you just need to manage time and energy
properly. I think the slow and studied will always find a place in this world, because of the simple fact, that no mater how fast your car may go, for how quickly your food may cook, there is simply no substitute for a stroll through the park, or a home cooked meal, with a steak fresh off the grill, sitting on top of a bed of steaming rice boiled with Chicken broth.
