_I just had a random thought after watching the Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex: Solid State Society movie [I'm sorry, as much as I love GitS, that name is just too ******** long mad ], the guild has no players that are openly a military fanboy-girl. I was planning on introducing the Militech Corp [stolen, i know sweatdrop , but the name rocks and I couldn't think of a better one, suggestions?] near the end of month to provide a backdrop for the Cyberia Club party, but theirs no one to bribe into being in charge of their military-esque police force. No power hungry player to help supress the filth in the 'Field and to make sure CCO big wigs get away with s**t and to bother factions like the Ash Daughters and such. _I was looking at the affiliate section in the guild captain guild and came up with the idea of possibly convincing someone in one of the military organization groups to do some roleplaying in cyberia with a couple of his subordinates to give us my much wanted Militech, but I'm not sure if its such a good idea to give outsides, and possibly non-CPs, so much power in my guild. That's why I'm making this thread, to get your guy's input about how we can go about populating a Militech corporation. Any ideas are welcome, just post and discuss.

When I was putting together this character, I actually thought about doing a cop-type character, but I wasn't too sure how difficult that would be, nor was I too sure about what the police/military situation was in the city. So I settled for a street Ronin that could be hired out on policing missions.
I do think it's a good idea, and I probably wouldn't go out of guild for it; even though it could work, we could run the risk of our militech going missing very easily.
As for a name...just sub words into the name; Armorcorp or something like that is fine. Tell ya what, I'll think up a bunch of names and post them tonight.

I like playing characters that have a rebellious nature, but it's a nature that is straight and true...like a revolutionary. Or Robin Hood. He tries to act big and bad, but inside he's a big softy; he works to destroy that which he feels is wrong...which can get very interesting when someone is doing the same, but we don't meet eye-to-eye. That's the stuff!

That's the stuff! Indeed... Allthough I could be persuaded to make a Cybernazi-for-hire-esque Faction Leader under my Mule account... Provided I have at least a few PC subordinates... you don't get much millitent than that...

I've always enjoyed either a Ronin Style character or usually something along the lines of a Bounty Hunter.

What I think he's looking for if I have it right is a leader of a bounty hunter-esque group who works for the corporations (always the high bidder, unless bidding against another corp)

I was mainly looking for a leader of an internal group within the corp. but anything along those lines would be nice.

Ahh...umm...wouldn't you have to change the front page of the guild to read, "Corporation Governments. Corporation Laws. Corporation Boundries. Oh, and Style."? Just a thought... So you're looking for some sort of agency that has divisions within that agency that can be at war...essentially, internal corporate warfare? Mmm...that actually sounds fun. And totally the corporate style of play for Cyberpunk. Or even like in GiTS...warring police factions...man, my brain is getting excited and running into overdrive.

I would change it if I wanted the whole guild to pretend to be a 'Section 9' knock off. I'm simply wanting to diversify the guild some more with anything that would give it a nice Cyberpunk touch. Hasn't been that many posts this month and I fear its just because I haven't been nagging you guys enough. I was trying to see what the guild would be like if I didn't send out any Transmisstions for the month, and its noticably slower it seems so far.

Well said about the knock off...I meant it would be cool, but I wouldn't want to base everything around it. Maybe it's just been a busy month...I don't know. I sort of got into a groove of checking boards, posting RPs, checking event boards, and then logging off. Maybe the stream of bugg- er, I mean information is key?

Hell, if we really wanted to, we could make the millitech group a GitS posergang... it's not unheard of in cyberpunk...

Or...and this just occurred to me as I scanned my bookshelf...we could do a military-type organization that is bent on revolution, only the key players are in it for different reasons. Has anyone read Kurt Vonnegut's Player Piano? It basically describes a stratified society of the haves and have-nots. One character is a former "haver" and is bent on just destroying the system...but he's working with a "have notter" who is bent on reforming the system.
Chaos ensues...it's great.
