The young mistweaver made his way to the Pridelands all by himself, thankfully. Without the blessing of the sight from the Gods; he felt like an outcast in his own homelands, but still felt rejected most other places. Kipofukakita'Maji laid his paw down on the ground, as he felt the earth between his paws. It felt so strange, like nothing he'd ever felt before in his whole entire life. Perplexed, the adult male padded forward with a blind curiosity. His still hoped in the back of his mind that someone would stop him and be able to aid him in getting through the lands.
It was hard enough getting here in the first place. Maybe he'd be able to find a guide here? The rouge lands were quite a hellish place, and he was thankful that he smelt something new, and safe for the first time in a very long time in his life. A sigh of relief escaped his maw as he smelled the air.

Maziwa padded round the Pridelands, she hadn't been here for a long time, all that was surrounding here now she remembered faintly. She'd remembered playing with her siblings, chasing small insects, chasing eachother, the normal things any other cubs do. She couldn't see her father Balamwezi nor Miamba, or any other lions she knew, all alone again.

It wasn't long until Kipofukakita'Maji found himself standing beside another figure. Even though he couldn't tell what it was, he just had this feeling that someone or something was nearby his warm body. He turned to view Maziwa, but an image never made it back to his mind. His paw moved about on the ground as he raised his arm into the air in an attempt to feel around him. His nosed flared viciously, and his ears twitched as he spoke. "Is someone there? ... ... I can ... sense you." He blinked, a blank stare gazed upon his cloudy eyes.
As if he was dead, though soon the lioness would realize that this specific Mistweaver was completely blind.

Maziwa turned round quickly, Kip had made her jump as she didn't realise that any other lions where around here. She looked at him, he was about the same build as her father accept Kip's mane was alot fuller and he was such a pretty colour, she'd never seen a lion quite like it. His eyes where a sky blue, where as hers where blood red - just like Balamwezi. She didn't know really what to say, whether to just walk away or start a conversation with him. She sighed, with nothing better to do and she didn't have any other company at the moment she took a deep breath and let out a squeak "I'm here... ..Maziwa".

He smiled slightly, as he turned his view from the voice. He didn't know what to think of at the time, but it was reassuring when he heard the soothing voice of a lioness. Did he really reach the peaceful lands he was told of? "Ah, Maziwa. What a lovely name. ... ... " He nodded, and then continued on. "I have a name too, but ... its really long. My sister Katavi always just called me Kip. My full name is Kipofu'kakita Maji." It was definitely a handful on the tounge, even he had trouble saying his own name every now and then! Why did his parents curse him with such a name?! He just wished he could see his parents once more. It seemed as if it was fate to get lost and lose his sight in the first place.
He sat down on the hill, feeling the grass beneath his feet. The ground felt so comfortable, much more than that of the Southlands or any of the Rougelands, at that. The desert was even worse.

Maziwa blushed "Thank you, I can't remember what it means though.." she giggled "Wow, that is a long name! I dont't think I have a nickname, Mazie? naw, doesn't work with my name - But Kip, thats cute" she sat down beside him. "So.. Err.." a complete brain blank went through Maziwa, she'd remembered this was how her parents Miamba and Balam had kinda met, so she felt nervous as Kip could be the one but she still felt so young to fall in love, even though she was now counted as an "adult" in everyone elses eyes she didn't feel it inside. Inside there was still the little Maziwa cub wanting to play with her brother and sister. Realising she hadn't finished her sentence she quickly asked "Where are you from?" D'oh, she could of asked something better than that!

"My family is from a far away land, known to the locals as the Mistweaver lands, those of us who have been there call it the Umande'mfuni." He stared down at the ground as his blank stare returned, he didn't realize he wasn't really looking at Maziwa.
"Heh, thanks. My sister thinks it is cute, as well." He grinned, as he continued to keep a watch on the ground below.

"Ohh! how interesting! I'm just from the plain ol' Pridelands, though I haven't been around in a long time so I've been kinda kicked out" Maziwa had noticed Kip wasn't really looking at her, she hadn't looked at her reflection in a while, perhaps he thought she was hideous. At least that was a thought off her mind, no Kip isn't the one so she could be calm around him.

Kipofu smiled. "Ah, well thats cool! A local. Maybe you can show me around, or ... help me get around." He chuckled slightly, turning to look back up as she spoke again. "Oh, i'm sorry! I didn't realize you were ... over there." He pointed with his paw and frowned. "I can't really ... see you. I'm blind."
"I was attacked as a cub, and thats how I got my name, as well. My name means 'Blind to Water'." He closed his eyes and sighed.

"If I can remember my way around I'd be happy to, I haven't really been here since I was a cub" she shrugged.
"I'm sorry to hear that" she bowed her head - Ok, maybe she wasn't hideous then, she did feel sorry for Kip though. She smiled and moved abit closer to Kip so he knew she was there.

Kip nodded. "Although, i'm sure you have a better idea of where you are going than I do. I've ... never been here. The grass feels quite nice, though." He was slightly startled as Maziwa's fur touched his own. "Wow, no one has ... helped me get around since I was young myself. Only my sister has helped me previously. I'm glad theres other nice lioness' like her out there." His maw smiled as he stood back up.
"Alright then, show me your world. I would love to learn the landscape, and hear the sounds and feel the touch of the lands, its how I see."

"The grass is lovely and green at this time of the year, nice and soft on our paws" she smiled "s'alright I find the world is cruel enough so there is no reason not to help someone in need" she gets up and walks slightly forward brushing against Kip so he knows where she's going. "lets go over here first then"

"Thank you, Maziwa. I will surely take all in that I can hear and feel. Maybe even smell. But, being able to have someone show me around his more than enough of a blessing." He bounded ahead, following the lioness with care. He was afraid of losing her, but he did hear her footsteps quite well. Maybe visiting these lands was what he needed all along. After searching his whole life for a meaning and purpose, he finally felt like he belonged somewhere, even if it was only for a day.
A smile graced his maw as he followed the lioness, thinking of what the future would bring with such promising and kind lands.
