Bottle of rum
The Chimera is at first joyed with your offer of rum. The lion head attempts to pick up the bottle with it's teeth to drink the rum, but the bottle shatters. While trying to lick up some of the liquid, the beast cuts its tongue and roars in anger. It decides to see if you contain any tasty liquids.

Tainingen jutsu
Wet noodle
You walk in with your wet noodle in hand and head held hig and the Chimera just looks at you strangly. You attempt to whip the lion head with the noddle, but it justs gets stuck in its fur. As the Chimera trys furiously to get the noodle out of its fur, you try to sneak away. You laugh at the Chimera as you slip away, untill you feel its tail whip you in the back and find yourself flying head first into a lava pool. Let's just say the water is a bit too warm.

Steve Irwin
The Chimera has seen Steve's show and quite admires him. He begins showering Steve with praise, and Steve begins doing his whole act. The Chimera begins to get slightly annoyed, however, and bats Steve away. Steve flys into you and decides to leave before the Chimera decides to eat him. You, however, stumble back and trip over a rock. Luckily there's a nice pool of lava below you to break your fall. Oh wait, maybe that's not so lucky...

The Declaration of Independence
The Chimera just looks at it for a moment, reading it over, then looks up at you. It wonders why you brought this piece of paper to it. The goat head eats it, making the lion head hungry. Looking around, the lion finds just what it was looking for: a nice, juicy human.

It's preamble
You hold the preamble to the Chimera, who quickly reads it over. The Chimera takes it, and, thinking it was unfinished, begins looking for his ink. After finding the ink he begins to write, but runs out. He decides to use the new red ink you brought him.

Firefox
You bring Firefox to the Chimera who decides to try it out. He installs it on his computer, and trys to surf the internet. It's so used to Internet Explorer, however, that he can't figure out to work it. It trys to uninstall Firefox while you sneak away, but for some reason it can't. He calls you back to help him, and when you can't it's so angry it eats you.

Book
Concinved of your book's invincibility, you hold it in front of you like a shield as the Chimera approaches. After reading the title, the Chimera begins flipping through the pages. Its heads begin growing more amused as they look up answers to questions they always wondered about. They check the title again to make sure they remember it when the Chimera goes to the bookstore, and the Chimera notices "your results may vary". Engraged that the answers its getting may not be the ones it wants, it decides to eat you and swallows you and your book whole.

Belkar
Belkar decides to charge into the cave, giving the Chimera an attack of opportunity. Since Belkar is a small creature, however, and the Chimera is a large creature, Belkar gets a bonus to his Armor Class and the Chimera doesn't hurt him. You try to sneak up behind the Chimera for a sneak attack, but the Chimera notices you. Panicing, you try to flee combat, right past the Chimera, giving the Chimera an attack of opportunity on you. Too bad your AC isn't that high. The Chimera then rolls a natural 20 on its attack roll against Belkar. Too bad you didn't bring a cleric.

Odysseus
So you and Odysseus walk into the Chimera's cave, you most likely hoping Odysseus will outsmart or kill the Chimera. Odysseus begins looking around to figure out the terrain and the best way to excape. The Chimera's lion head roars at Odysseus who quickly draws his sword. "Back, foul beast! I must return home to my wife!" he crys, brandishing his sword at the Chimera. The Chimera understands and lets him go home, scot free. Then it slices you in half for leading Odysseus to his almost certain doom.

Book version 2
You walk in with the new book held high, again confident in its invincibility. The Chimera groans and just tells you to leave, but you insist the Chimera reads it. The Chimera warns you, but you keep trying to get the Chimera to read the book. Finally the Chimera gets fed up and eats you and the book to shut you up. Should have walked away when you had the chance...

Hydra
You and the Hydra enter the Chimera's cave, you making sure to keep your distance from the Chimera. The Chimera's snake tail sees the Hydra and tells its heads about the Hydra's special "ability". Intriged, the Chimera slices the Hydra's head off, only to find two more growing back in its place. Estatic, the Chimera begins cutting more and more heads off untill eventually the Hydra has so many heads it can't move. Now bored with its new play thing, the Chimera decides to see if your head grows back. Guess not.

A piece of paper
So you bring the paper in and stare at the Chimera. It stares back at you. After a moment, you hold the paper in front of your face, probably thinking that if you can't see the Chimera, it can't see you. The Chimera reaches over to cut the paper in half and reveal you. Guess it didn't really kno how long its claws were.

Nothing
You walk calmly into the the Chimera's lair with your hands in your pockets. The Chimera stares at you, expecting you to bestow some lavish gift on it for intruding opon its nap-time. You stare at the Chimera and reach deeper into your pockets, causing it to become excited. You pause for a moment to build up suspense, then you draw out... nothing. The Chimera stares at you in confusion as you try to offer if nothing. It decides to cut you open, to see if there's a better gift inside.
