These are four haikus (japanese style poems consisting of 5 syllables, then 7, the 5 again, which are not metaphorical, are solid, and have something to do with the seasons) which I had to come up with for my Creative Writing class. I got them back a couple days ago, and now I feel like sharing them for no apparent reason. lol.

Water

Rippling, this calm pool
Its depths not deep, nor reach wide
This watery pool: peace

Fire

This small flame, it grows
Burning, raging, all consumed
A spark destroys all

Wind

The breeze... so tranquil
It carries bird and cools man
Uses infinite

Earth

Steadfast, unyielding
Beneath us, the ground, solid
Earth... strength to us gives
