arrow Doctors will treat various patients who were injured in an apartment complex fire, including the woman who set it after falling asleep while smoking, in the second episode of the new season. Source: TV Squad

Another Broadway star will join Sara Ramirez and Chandra Wilson on Grey's Anatomy this fall. Tony winner Ben Vereen will make an appearance in the second episode of Season 4 as a patient at Seattle Grace. "I was exposed to a fire in my apartment and I come in as a burn victim," Vereen tells TV Guide.com. "I'm a wise, old guy who is the neighbor of a family he's adopted who has a terrible misfortune." Vereen's character discovers that his surrogate family ran a drug laboratory at home when they all wind up in the hospital after an explosion. "He's crushed because he's a very lonely man," says the actor. "Mark and Izzie are taking care of him and Callie comes in so I deal with those characters."

A woman, Marla, wakes up in the hospital not knowing how and why she got there. It turns out that Marla fell asleep with a cigarette in her hand, starting a fire in her living room. Marla sustained injuries to her abdomen. Her husband is okay but her son suffered extensive burns. There are also other patients in the hospital who were affected by the fire Marla set. One patient warns a female doctor to start to date in order to not end up alone at 70 like he is. Another burn patient panics while at the hospital and admits that the life he is now living is not what he wanted.

Rhimes may stick a fork in Gizzie in the season premiere when (Spoiler alert) the ex-platonic pals are forced to examine their relationship while tending to an, um, unusual patient: a deer. That's right, an injured deer will be admitted to Seattle Grace

Woah.. It's so quiet in here... Sooo.....
Epi 5:
arrow Dr. Hahn will be returning for the Halloween episode on Oct. 25, and she'll make a controversial decision that causes a major rift between Cristina and Izzie. Also, the fallout from Gizziegate will throw Callie and Cristina together in a very unexpected way, and someone is fired from his/her position.
arrow The fifth episode of the season will be a Halloween one. In the episode, some of the ladies working at the hospital formed a sort of club of women who have been hit on by a certain male doctor (Mark?). Erin, the daughter of a man waiting for a heart transplant, gets angry when his father's state worsens due to the fact the hospital is short staff and that those who are working seems to be more into Halloween than patients. Later, Erin becomes a patient when a Halloween prank goes wrong. A man wants one of his ears to be removed saying that he can't sleep because of it. When the doctors don't want to perform this wacky surgery, the man takes matters in his own hands. Ryan, a deaf kid who has a lot of tricks and some lies in his bag, wants to have hearing aids implanted inside his ears and hopes that the doctors will do it pro bono. The doctors also tend to a patient who cut one of his fingers when using a chainsaw to carve a pumpkin.

Epi 6:
With his marriage in turmoil, the Chief turns to his fellow male surgeons for a "gentleman's evening," Cristina and Izzie heatedly compete for the same surgeries and the favor of the doctor performing them, Meredith treats the survivor of a skydiving accident, and the doctors treat two injured finalists who are competing in a promotional competition. Mr. Arnold comes in the ER due to shortness of breath and a heart condition. He dreams of seeing a previously-thought-extinct bird but his medical condition may prevent him to do so. Sally, a rock climbing instructor, brings Rick to the ER after he fell while climbing. It seems to have been a nasty fall. Helena and Jackie are brought in on the same gurney because they are both holding on to a huge key: the first one to let go will lose a contest in which they can win a house. Helena is missing part of her scalp and has a broken nose while Jackie has a dislocated shoulder and a fractured leg. Both ladies do not want to let go of the key. A doctor convinces Jackie to let an intern (looks like it'll be George) to take her place in the contest so they can treat her. The doctors try to take care of Helena while she still holds the key. But what will happen when she needs surgery herself? The episode features Helena and Jackie, two brides to be, and their respective frat-boy type fiancés. The brides are brought to the ER after a contest they took part in turned ugly. Other guest stars will be Rick and Sally, both said to be of the adventurer type. The doctors also take care of skinny and delicate Mr. Arnold.

Epi 7:
George and Izzie's romantic chemistry is put to the test, as Derek asks for more than a physical connection from Meredith; much to his own surprise, Mark develops a crush on a fellow surgeon, and Callie's role as Chief Resident is placed in jeopardy after she delegates much of her job to Bailey. Arguing parents Jane and Don bring in their 8-year-old son Brian after he swallowed some coins. This event has Jane and Don rethink their couple. A 40-year-old woman named Harriet wants cosmetic surgery on her chin. While in consultation, she keeps talking about one of the doctors who must have a lot to worry about because she has worry and frown lines on her face. She even tells the doctor that it's making her (the doctor) look awful! Theresa, a mother, brings in her baby girl after she fell down the stairs while holding her. Things turn ugly when Theresa needs surgery. Her husband freaks out because he doesn't think he can raise the baby alone if Theresa doesn't make it.

Now Random Spoilers:
1)Gizzie is still alive and kicking in Episode 8 gonk and Mer and Der are still going strong with their whole let's-have-sex-but-not-be-super-serious thing.

2) Former Dawson's Creek star Joshua Jackson will return to television later this season for a guest arc on Grey's Anatomy." Jackson will play a doctor on the ABC series. His first appearance is scheduled for the show's 11th episode, which barring a writers strike will likely air in December or January.
3) Seth Green (Austin Powers) will be admitted to Seattle Grace for a two-episode Grey's Anatomy arc
4)An upcoming Grey's episode involves a plastic-surgery patient who has sex with a constipated patient and it relieves his constipation.
5) Meredith's Dad's coming back next month.
6) sweatdrop Lauren Stamile has been cast in a "major recurring role" on the hit ABC drama. She'll make her first appearance later this season. [...] The HR teases that Stamile's character will share screen time with Patrick Dempsey's Dr. Derek Shepherd but doesn't disclose in what capacity, be it professional, personal or both. There's also no word on when she'll make her first appearance. There are a lot of rumors stating that she's his LOVE INTEREST or SISTER... Oh please let it be Sister....
7) I hear Lexie and Derek are not happening - at least not initially. Word around Seattle Grace is that Lexie is being paired with Alex. That should certainly make things interesting when Jane Doe/Ava/Rebecca reappears. biggrin

Quote:
Question: Okay, I'm officially worried that Izzie really does have a brain tumor and Shonda Rhimes is paving the way for Katherine Heigl's departure at the end of the season. Reassure me, Mike! -- Alex
Ausiello: Hold on, Alex, I've got Shonda Rhimes on the line….She says she heard through the grapevine that I've been flooded with hundreds of e-mails from mostly irate and confused Grey's fans wondering WTF is going on with this bizarre love story between a dead Denny and an alive Izzie….She says she'd like to address Ask Ausiello readers directly via this exclusive statement....

"I think the love triangle with Denny, Izzie, and Alex is among the most interesting we've ever done. Watching the chemistry between Jeffrey and Katherine again has been really touching. I can't wait for our viewers to see where we're taking it. But what it won't involve is Izzie having a brain tumor."

If it's not a brain tumor, I can't wait to see what Shonda has up her sleeve to get rid of Dead Denny. I wasn't a fan of the couple when he was alive (though him dying killed me, and watching her break down like that....wow), much less now that he's a ghost having sex with a not ghost.

ick...

I'm mostly looking forward to finally having some REAL MerDer scenes!

And McMama's coming to town?? WOOOOOOHOOOOOOO!!!
